HostUS – $35/year 2GB OpenVZ in Dallas, Los Angeles, or Atlanta

Tags: , , , , , , Date/Time: May 2, 2015 @ 5:54 am, by Maarten Kossen

HostUS_-_Atlanta_&_Dallas_Shared_&_VPS_Hosting_-_2014-12-24_15.15.28Alexander, from HostUS, has written us to share this special offer with us for a cheap 2GB OpenVZ in either Atlanta, Los Angeles, or Dallas!

The offer

  • 2GB RAM
  • 2GB vSwap
  • 4 vCPU Cores (fair share)
  • 75GB HDD space
  • 2TB transfer
  • 1Gbps uplink
  • 3x IPv4
  • 6x IPv6
  • OpenVZ/Custom
  • $35/year
  • Order here

We all know HostUS from their previous offers. They always offer quite some bang-for-buck and seem to keep squeezing good performance out of these servers as well. Host hardware has either dual L5639 or L5640 CPUs with an undisclosed amount of RAM. Host nodes have either 4 or 8 hard drives configured in hardware RAID10. They own their own IP ranges and on top of that they can SWIP IPs to your details for the purpose of WHOIS accuracy. Reviews are mainly positive, with some praising their support response times during holidays.

HostUS accepts Skrill, PayPal, credit cards through PayPal, and bank transfer for payments. However, PayPal is the primary option and you should contact them for bank transfers. They offer a 3-day money back guarantee. Their Terms of Service is something you should definitely read before you order!

Just a small note: their offers from the last time we’ve featured them still seem to be valid as well.

HostUS is one of the best in my point of view. I got grandfathered from reversehost and I have amazing experience. don’t mskip this offer. I am currently stuck with BlueVM for 2 months with 0% uptime on 5 of my VPS but when i move i will move to one(maybe both) of these two HostUS or servermania most probably.

    • I ordered a VPS. But, I think it should be noted that the plans that include more than 1 IP address are not necessarily included. The VPS comes with 1 IP address and then you need to provide valid justification to HostUS to get the other IP addresses (that are included) added to your VPS.

      Here’s a quick benchmark I did:

      CPU model : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5520 @ 2.27GHz
      Number of cores : 4
      CPU frequency : 1600.000 MHz
Total amount of ram : 2048 MB
Total amount of swap : 2048 MB
      System uptime : 17 min,
      Download speed from CacheFly: 57.9MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 81.2MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 110MB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 7.03MB/s
Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 7.70MB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 14.5MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 9.94MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 41.7MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 49.6MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 59.1MB/s
      I/O speed : 845 MB/s

    • Hello,

Sorry – we can’t match that amount of disk space. We backup VM’s daily, weekly and monthly and will soon be able to provide customer access to restore these backups, so we can’t offer that much disk.

  19. I was grandfathered from my old ReverseHosts account to HostUS last year (given an OVZ3 plan). I signed up with their earlier 6GB promotion a few months ago and have moved my main sites from TmzVPS to this system.

Support is responsive and very helpful. Alex is always a pleasure to deal with.

If I had any need for a third VPS, I’d quickly jump on this promotion. The servers are not overloaded, network is quick, and uptime is excellent.

hostus.us is one of the best vps providers which I used. I have been working this field for 5 years. Every year I purchase vps from new provider. I have 5 vps with various providers. Last month I bought this plan from hostus. After 3 days I requested him to replays my server and provide me a new server. At once he gave me a new one. This server has good speed and last month I got 99.9% uptime.(All others below 99). Mr. Alexander’s support is very good. I will purchase 2 more servers form him soon.

Be mindful if you order this package. Despite the fact that the order will go through as normal, and there is no expiration date listed, it is expired according to tech support and you will not receive the 3 advertised IPv4 addresses.

Still very happy with HostUS as a provider so far, just wanted to make sure other potential customers were informed so they didn’t get jipped out of a couple IPs they may have been expecting.
