LoliHosting - $4.46 384MB OpenVZ VPS in Phoenix

LoliHosting Newly launched LoliHosting sent me their offer over the weekend. They have been providing Web Hosting, VPN Service, VPS, Dedicated Servers privately for a year, and they have just released some VPS packages for public consumptions on their yet-to-be finished home page. Use promo code public to get 10% off, which makes their “VZ384” $4.46/month. Direct sign up link.

  • 384MB guaranteed/768MB burstable memory
  • 30GB storage
  • 600GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ

If you order annually you can also get 25% off with promo code LEB. Servers with Ubiquity in Phoenix (test IP: It accepts either credit card, PayPal or Alipay as payment method. However connection to WHMCS is not SSL encrypted. There is no ToS or AUP on the website either, which can be a worry from a new hosting provider. And Loli? Why?! I am sure it is more related to chemical regulatory database than kiddie pr0n (which would get you into a lot of trouble pretty much everywhere in the world). Domain was registered in September 2010 to George in Fujian China. Just googling “lyzgeorge” shows that he is a freshman in university doing media &amp communication. Since he actually Liked LowEndBox on Facebook so I won’t pass on any more comment here :)

Speaking of the Lulz, I wonder when someone finally gets the idea to open a VPS hosting at SeriousTubes – http://serioustubes.org/

DMCA and copyright claims will be ignored

ThePirateBay and Tokyotosho.info currently host there.
It’s not something I’d need personally (or perhaps not something that would even appear on LEB due to expected price premium), just would be interesting to have one around.

Not really secure, i know someone that was able to threat a lawsuit to both of their upstreams and got them to kick a server off their network – so they clearly not hold what they say.

  3. hummm loli doesn’t mean kiddie porn, kiddie porn means kiddie porn, besides the database, loli means lolita or lolicon and both aren’t kiddie porn, one is a classic novel, the other is comics, both didn’t harm or exploited any children, a world of difference, just read the wikipedia link you posted >_<

The speed is alright. (From UK.)

    • We are planning to launch new server in Scranton or New York, which can get higher speed to UK. Maybe next month :)

379KB/sec is not ‘alright’ at all, however but I do get up to about 2 MB/sec from an UK VPS on gigabit, so that must’ve been your connection.

  6. I signed up to try out the VPS, hopefully the performance will be good cause the box seems empty. However their support system isn’t working (yet probably anyway), was going to ask if you offer Debian 5, you seem not to by default.

    • Hi, support system is working just a moment ago.

I’m asking our tech stuff to add Debian 5 for you :)

  7. Thanks, good thing I didn’t install a lot of stuff. I know I should move onto Squeeze, but I just love Lenny too much :D

    • Squeeze is good, I used to run Squeeze on my PC. But seems some package was changed which I had to install for some reason, finally I got back to Ubuntu 10.04 XD.

Signed up. Instant setup. The OS installed is ACTUALLY the one I picked at checkout, and not stupid CentOS regardless of what you picked. The VPS is pretty quick. These guys look legit.

  9. I tried out the VPS somewhat by running a CoD gameserver on it. For the price they perform well, I went into burst ram by like 200mb and it still performed as well.
    Seems like a good service.

      • BTW, your VZ384 plan still have limits on CPU/RAM/IO sources, so if you’re considering a higher configuration (like VZ768), feel free to submit a ticket.
