LoveVPS - $6.99 600MB KVM VPS in Kent, UK & Orlando, FL

Matt, from LoveVPS, is back with another offer for LowEndBox readers. He informs us that he has put together the below offer as a result of feedback on their previous offer and from clients.

KVM 600 – KVM UK/US

LoveVPS have been featured numerous times before, since February 2011. However, we last listed them in November 2012 when they were offering a very similar plan but with only 512MB ram. They’re using SuperMicro servers with the Intel E3-1230 CPU or above and have multiple drives in RAID 10 Storage. They offer free Instant Setup with love! Comments made on their last post were positive regarding the service LoveVPS provide. Any more reviews would be highly appreciated.

LoveVPS accept Debit and Credit cards via the PayPal merchant gateway. For yearly payments or payments longer than a month, they offer pro-rata refunds. For monthly accounts, refunds are issued if and when suitable, they have no issue with refunding people if they’re at fault or a double payment, however if the client is at fault or submits a cancellation request, no refund will be issued. Not sure if it’s just me but on Windows 7 with Chrome I can’t use the drop downs from the menu, the disappear when I move my most down.

      • Hello,

Thanks for your feedback, we have a patch coming out tomorrow evening for the site, with some spelling corrections, and some improvements to the javascript.

At the moment you have to be quick to react on the dropdowns for them to not disappear, that should all be fixed on Monday.

    Hi Matt,

on your website, it says 5000GB (5TB) bandwidth. Do I get 500GB or 5000GB of bandwidth?

I was a LoveVPS customer from June 2011 until January of this year. I was pretty happy with the service. I only left because LoveVPS didn’t offer either KVM or IPv6 (at the time). Now it looks like they have one of the two; when they get the other I’ll be happy to return!

Ordered one of these, then got a bit stuck setting it up (my fault). Matthew was very helpful, and got me running again quickly. So far, excellent!

  6. Hello Guys,

Just wanted to share some my experience on the LoveVPS service. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied and am sorry I wasted my time waiting on them. Currently looking for a decent KVM provider in London.

I wasn’t given the chance to actually test if the server is running. So I can only base my review on the customer service I received (or lack thereof). My order was submitted three days ago, but was marked fraudulent due to my submission from a non-UK IP address. I’ve had previous experience with fraud detection systems and was thinking it might not pass, but I assumed Support will verify the order quickly so I entered my main address and not where I was located of the time. They blocked my IP and did not respond to my emails ever since.

I’ve been waiting for three days now and sent at least four emails to LoveVPS, yet no response was received. I find it completely unacceptable to treat new customers like that. They should have at least sent me an update. It’s not that much of a big deal, but if they are going to be so unresponsive if technical issues arise, I don’t think I can do business with them at all. Seeing some positive feedback to Matthew B in the previous posts, I wonder if he is the only one dealing with sales/support issues around LoveVPS. If this is the case LoveVPS should really consider hiring some extra staff to communicate with your customers.

Nothing personal. Just a bit disappointed and sharing my thoughts on the matter.

An update on my order progress:

So far they did NOTHING regarding my order and did not respond to ANY of my emails. The negative feedback on LowEndBox did not seem to disturb them at all so no one get from LoveVPS got in touch with me. Too bad that they offered such excellent conditions as per their site.

But it’s not worth if customer care is so bad. If I can’t get them to sell me a VPS and get paid, it seems very likely that their technical support will be just as bad. I rarely communicate with my hosting companies, being a Tech Support in a hosting environment as well. But I need to know that there’s someone at their DC that I can contact on urgent matters.

    • Hello Isken,

Sadly this was not dealt with how I would have expected by us, we do mainly focus on our support tickets. I have looked into your ticket and located the issue here. Sadly due to a major bug within HostBill your tickets have been appearing blank to us: (Bug has been reported to HostBill by another user: http://cl.ly/image/0S3d2A0U3A0o). Looking at your ticket notes, it was assumed that it was some sort of auto-responder from your email address due to the subject of the ticket (“Re: New Order #XXXXXXXXX”). We do apologize for this issue, and I am checking the mail boxes now for the ticket messages.

Once again, I apologize for this issue, we are working to resolve it and I will update you through email on why your order was declined, however from the initial checks it looks like it was declined twice by MaxMind for similar reasons, but with different details.
