Hi @Shakib! Lots of folks throughout the Low End already know you, but we do also have readers who are new. So, perhaps we should begin at the beginning. Would you please tell us about you, about your business, and about how you got started?

My name is Shakib Khan and my childhood dream was to become a scientist when I grow up.

I will try to keep this part short, but I already know it’s not going to be a short story.

It all started back in December 2012, when I built a free mobile only website myself using templates and simple html codes from w3schools. I was a fast learner and ended up making some pretty nice looking and colorful websites in just a few months. Somehow I got connected with people on Facebook through some groups related to creating mobile sites. I was just showing off and found out that people actually liked my flashy colorful websites. People were willing to pay me if I built them similar sites with their name, photo, etc on it.

I was just a teenager back then and couldn’t refuse the opportunity to make some extra pocket money. I started designing websites for whomever was paying. I started advertising on the footer of all the sites that I designed. I was using Facebook as my primary sales point. During that time I meet some people who wanted to know my company name, and I didn’t get to work with them as I didn’t have an actual company.

I got some idea about what should be my next step with what I was doing and started my first IT/Hosting company in 2014. I also started investing in short, meaningful and valuable domains. I ended up having a few domain hosting related businesses just in a year as I couldn’t decide on one name as my permanent business name. I was in search for the one true name that has the potential of becoming everything that I want it to be.

In December 2015, I found that one true name, rebranded all my businesses and redirected all my existing hosting websites to HostCram.com and never looked back.

Fast forwarding to Year 2022, a lot has changed in the past 6 years. I become a full grown man and HostCram has become a company that manages hundreds of IP ranges from all over the world though multiple entity and partner companies. For better understanding, we have managed and announced over 100,000 IPv4 addresses in year 2021. We specialize in providing proxy, email and VPN servers to other companies. We are up on dozens of ISP, Business & Hosting networks. We provide all kinds of complex custom solutions that usually you won’t be able to get from other hosting companies.

That’s interesting about managing more than 100,000 IPv4 addresses in 2021! We have some readers who are new and might not yet understand what it means to manage and announce a group of internet addresses. Could you please explain a little about managing and announcing and how you do it?

So what we do is make lease agreements with a large IPv4 range holder person/company and assign their unused ranges to our clients. We announce a big part of those IPv4 ranges on ISP ASN such AS174 Cogent and AS1239 Sprint, setup custom Squid proxy GUI and rent them out to proxy companies.

Is the announcing and routing done by you or by the companies from whom you lease the addresses?

It’s all done by network engineer of course when we do the announcement on ISP ASN or use a Juniper like real router.

I do the routing myself whenever we do software routing using bird or quagga.

Where are you located?

HostCram LLC is registered in Buffalo, Wyoming, USA.

Do you work days, nights, and weekends?

This is my full time job and I am almost always online. I work day and night even on the weekends. Currently I am working on multiple projects at once and having too much busy times.

Do you have a special offer for our readers?

22% discount on any service listed on our main website.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Although we are in the industry for years, we just started mass deployment of virtual servers since last year. We will surely make mistakes and learn from them. I know sometimes we are late on service delivery or support ticket reply. I hope you will look at us with kindness and help us to be what we could be.

We are currently working on building a two story high-tech office building with plans for expansion that we will use for providing 24/7 in-house support to our clients. The construction work should be completed in 6 months and everything is expected to be operational by 2023.

  3. Beware. This HostCram is a scammer.
They took my money and then run away, let you wait for more than 48 hours, keep promising that will delivery the proxy as soon as possible, but nothing. I opened the case against them, they sent me the proxy right away after 1 hours, threaten me to close my case or I will be punished by their staff.
Of course none of these proxies can be used.
And you know what ? They deleted my account, keep lying with PayPal and 2CheckOut that they delivered the service. Now they scam all of my money and run away.

    • So you want a public outcry and drama now as you received a reply from PayPal?

As per our records you have used fake information to signup with us, your billing info doesn’t match with your account info and your payment didn’t get approved by 2Checkout right away and you paid the same $10 invoice twice.

You opened one support ticket with one response and I replied you back within 3 hours.

We did deliver your service, adjusted renewal date and credited your account once the payment was approved. A few hours later we got 2 PayPal dispute from you and when i reach out to you about resolving the dispute, you said some cruel things to me and to work with the case. This is what I am doing now based on your suggestion.

No, your account is not deleted. It’s marked as fraud. I send them your service, account screenshots and explained my situations about you not interested in resolving the disputes internally. I will make sure this dispute gets escalated to PayPal for review and you have to wait a very long time for causing emotional and reputational damage to me and my company assuming they could favor you.

We make a few refunds every month and $20 is literally nothing i would’ve cried over. All you had to do just ask me for the refund instead of opening multiple disputes at once. Those disputes alone costing us $30 as fees which is more than the value of your order.

I am suggesting your suggestion back to you, “Work with the case on PayPal. Work with 2CO, not with me. Stop wasting my time.”
