Howdy. Looking for a VPS with API functionality to shut down and turn on VMs at specific times of the day. Is this supported? (I’m a developer, so I just need the API documentation or function names and I can take it from there).

Ordered a hybrid server an hour ago and just finished setting it up. Loving the speeds and the fast support response times!

Thinking about moving a few more servers from OVH beauharnois, much better latency with n3 as I’m in the US :P

I signed up earlier today. Above is a quick speed test I just pulled. Here are my impressions so far:

    – Ease of use: I am fairly technical myself. Their servers are straight forward and easy to use. It includes root access out of the box, so you don’t have to worry about sudo’ing yourself in.

    – Speed: Almost max out my 1Gbps Port without any issues.

In all, I’m very happy with my purchase. Seems like a solid bunch!

Enable tun/tap, take a IPv6 tunnel at tunnelbroker.net (Hurricane Electric) and follow the steps shown at https://www.cybermilitia.net/2013/07/22/ipv6-tunnel-on-openvz/.

Better idea for Tim is to add a IPv6 tunnel to the servers network interface and use RaDvd and automaticly assign IPv6 addresses to the cliënts if that’s possible but if i’m right it should.

They definitely overfill their host nodes which results in very very slow IO. Support tickets solve the problem only for a few hours, no more and then it happens again. Opened a dispute on paypal for such “perfect” service because they didn’t want to do a refund on a good will.

  28. Tauren Mills:

I purchased three 512MB plan and one 3GB plan a while ago. They worked well at first, but performance has gotten worse and worse. They definitely oversell.

In addition, I keep having troubles with the 3GB plan. The Java service running within it will die and has to be restarted, which isn’t too big of a deal. But now, something has happened to the networking. I cannot ping or SSH to the server at all. But I can ping and SSH to the other 512MB plans that I have.

Their web dashboard shows the server as online, so I used it to reboot it. But I still can’t access it remotely. Using their HTML5 serial console, I’m able to get into the server. But I cannot ping 8.8.8.8 from within it. Something is messed up with the networking. Even if I wanted to switch to another provider, I have no way to copy any files from the server at this point.

Every time I’ve attempted to use their tech support, they respond hours and hours later, and their replies are incredibly unhelpful. Most of the time they suggest doing something that I already did and told them I did.

    I’d avoid these guys!

    Tauren,

to bad I did not see your post before I purchased. I ordered their 3gb plan and can stuff running but nothing coming out of the box simple things like apache or nginx will run fine show that they are running but I can’t connect even when firewalld is deactivated it feels like I am paying for a shell account. I ran a portscan on my IP and that only port 22 is open even though it apache is running on port 80. The support ticket said that they don’t support 3rd party software. And another response I like oh it must be a DNS issue your DNS must be wrong. How can DNS be wrong if its a direct IP?
