Martin from Nixcom.ca has sent me an exclusive offer on their new Xen nodes in Baltimore MD. Two packages, and I suspect these are Canadian dollars (so less when you convert to USD).
- VPS-256-xLEB (order link)
- 256MB memory/512MB swap
- 10GB storage
- 500GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
- $2.99/month or $7.99/quarter
- VPS-512-xLEB (order link)
- 512MB memory/1024MB swap
- 20GB storage
- 1000GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
- $4.99/month or $12.99/quarter
You can use onyx.nixcom.ca
for ping/traceroute test. The actual server is dual-core i3-540 with 8GB memory and RAID1. Low end desktop grade stuff but very good bang for the buck. It is a very good deal though which I think might be below cost. So it is a loss leader to gain market share and available in very limited amount.

i couldn’t set up a pay pal subscription though as it gave me an error on the paypal site….
ordered one
VPS was provisioned afer about 20mins and all is running well
some quick tests on the performance:
looks good so far… lets hope they last more then a week
forgot to mention my server was provisioned on the oynx node they gave to test above.
Out of stock on both items :)
It seems that both package already out of stock. Good deal though, but doesn’t last long.
Very limited amount indeed.
hehe, thanks for your business!
It seems that this good deal is very popular!!! We have some ressources left but we have to wait for more IPs to be set on this node. We will have more stock available soon :)
Thanks to everyone, and a BIG thanks to LowEndBox :)
@martin can I suggest you have a look at the paypal error I mentioned earlier?
No subscription has been set for now. Did you took a 3 month term? If so, after that, would you like we deal something out for a long term deal?
Two spaces left for tonight on VPS-256-xLEB deal :)
Already placed an order. Thanks for bringing it back, hope more to come Martin
Just did the setup of your vps, enjoy :)
It’s been a rush… I don’t know why, I’m tired ?! ;) Anyone want a deal like this on openvz? We got a lot of place on openvz nodes … Let me know, we will deal something out :)
@Martin Surely that would add an advantage, for me personally i can work on OpenVZ or XEN. Most of readers here prefers XEN though. Let me know if there is such package and i’d like to know if you have reseller program on VPS. Thanks and brgds
@Martin Hello buddy, send me openVZ deal …. vps.network@ovi.com
Hi Martion.
If you can give the same deal in OpenVZ, please let me know.
mailto: sajtxl.webhosting(at)gmail.com
Sorry, Martin.
@martian i signed up for the 1 month, but when i try to set a paypal subscription to have it paid for automaticly i get and error
something about it can only be dong on a buissness account?
Out of Stock on both orders, can we get a 100mb test file from some readers?
@Martin: OpenVZ is fine for me too.
Do you offer the same in Montreal too?
dirk at woodstone dot nu
(forgot to subscribe, sorry)
Damn, I missed out, but good deal.
Too bad, would have really like a Canadian VPS for my Asterisk/Freepbx IP-PBX setup.
Openvz deal will be set today, thank you for your interest and patience :)
Openvz deals, will be available on both nodes: Chicago AND Montreal…
I’m gonna try to contact everyone ASAP on that offer, and we will update this post too :)
Have a good day,
Martin
@Martin: and in Baltimore? Also do you offer native ipv6 addresses?
@Martin: Do you have any plan to offer VPS-512-xLEB back?
i wonder why I ping it so high :| 320ms
From Sweden about 128ms, thats normal for this long distans
Ping is fine as normal here… It depends on where you from…
Openvz deals will be posted here in about 3 hours, stay tuned ! :) I have a busy day of work, some tickets from new users to answer and some troubleshoot…
@sidahmed no ipv6 on all our nodes, sorry :o/
Martin, give us the speed test file.
Any more Xen deals Martin? I guess most here prefer Xen (correct me if I am wrong..).
We don’t want to put a speed test file.. It is too fast for you guys! :P lol tonight we gonna bring you a speed test file :)
it was a temp problem…now I ping 150ms
@Martin: Thanks, Any ETA about Xen 512MB deals?
Ping is kinda unstable (124min 136max 10 ping jumps), but routing to lithuania seemed good, lt->telia->nlayer-singlehop and I think I maxed out with 1.9MB’s on your file.
PS:Muahah found it on WHT http://adm.nixcom.ca/files/test.tar.gz ;P
PSS:I’ll order a xen if you come back with that offer ;)
You found for chicago node, not baltimore ;) better luck tonight :P
Hi Martin, will you only offer Openvz deals? Please just let us know whether you will offer Xen or not. so we dont need to come back here, and the admin of this site can switch this to Openvz category…
I wanted a xen-512MB, but it is out of stock right now. That is too bad.
From Spain ping is around 160ms.
Will I ever see a cheap Spanish vps ??
VPS-256-xLEB – 1 available.
I have placed my order, are you going to have 512MB deals? I’m interested in that as well.
@Martin, Thanks very much, you have had tough day today.
Are you going to offer XEN 512MB deals again? interested in it as well.
OpenVZ deals are ready on our billing system and nodes.

There you go :)
XEN is sold out, we are trying to find a solution ASAP. The best solution could be to buy a new node. We are dealing with our DC right now. That’s why we are offering openvz solution for some users. Sorry about that.
I have updated the post to include the OpenVZ packages.
@LowEndAdmin Thank you very much :) Just an update, we offer it to our Montreal, Canada node too :)
Thanks Martin,
You are doing great.
I have received my VPS.
@Sidahmed your TWO VPS :P hehe Great review, thanks :)
@Martin, My TWO VPSs. (Smile).
I’m enjoying it right now, and thanks LEB, you proved to be very useful.
yep, LEB rulz :P
Do you have stock available in Canada DC?
Can you post an IP for your Montreal DC?
And how can we order in Montreal and Baltimore?
Don’t see an option to select the DC….
@skomes ip for montreal: web.nixcom.ca
@Dirk : We host an openvz node in montreal on: web.nixcom.ca
@Martin: and how do I order it? Same link and set Montreal in the remark field?
Do you also have something in Baltimore (like the original XEN offer)?
order the 256 or 512 deal and then open a ticket to say you want it in montreal. both nodes have a lot a space left.
regards,
Martin
@ Martin
Oh, then please post a right one ;)
@Martin: order placed and ticket open….
@Martin – just order a Order 3months VPS-512-oLEB, unfortunately the subscription is not working, so please remind me a week before the next payment due.
it seems it’s not a instant-setup billing system.
Order placed. Waiting everything is setup as requested. Opened ticket for setup VPS on Montreal node.
Look like I missed the limited XEN deals
@Martin any ETA on XEN plans? I want XEN plz
Going to give them a try for a month I think. Almost didn’t after reading a post on WHT, and seeing the “personal” use of a “business” twitter account… but I’ll give them a chance I guess. At 4.99 CAD/month can it *really* be that bad?
Or not, they’ve sold out – again.
Ugh, nevermind, either I clicked the wrong order link, or they got stock in again.
No surprise here, their OpenVZ VPS seems to be out of stock as well now. Fortunately, I managed to order one. Would love to get started on it soon (as my sandbox!) – awaiting setup…
Both show out out of stock again.
Two VPS-256-xLEB in stock for Chicago node!
@Martin when is XEN coming?
@Asim Still dealing with our DC for a new node.
@Martin – This xen link http://my.nixcom.ca/cart.php?a=add&pid=43 out of stock, but this openVZ link worked http://my.nixcom.ca/cart.php?a=add&pid=45 and I’ve just placed an order. Let’s see how it is going within 3-6 months time, maybe we can work something out.
@Martin – Wow, that’s fast! Thank’s a lot.
@vRozenSch00n No problem :)
@Martin, where can I get more information about these two configs? Even the regular price plan page don’t have too much information:
http://nixcom.ca/vps.html
All Out of Stock
Is there any available slot for use?
They have 2 VPS’es left on there normal plans and they don’t seem to bother with adding new nodes.
Rus should probably add one more host to his portfolio lol.
@Tom Rus as in Rus Foster? if so, only a host would go to him (be merged) if they want to see bad support and lots of downtimes
Yes I do mean him and I think he’s doing a lot better then the host owners who sold out.
@Tom No offense but I think otherwise
@Martin still waiting for XEN
@Martin, some one here also waiting for Xen 512MB plan.
Another person here hoping that the Xen packages will be made available again.

If so, give us your mail, we are preparing a new node for XEN services :)
Are there XEN nodes up? any restocking on XEN PV?
Any new stock on OpenVZ?
If I can, I want a $4.99 or 30GB Space for $5.99,maybe BW 600G ok…
@newbie send us an email to sales (at) nixcom (dot) ca telling what you expect to have exactly… We will make you a custom quote :)
Sorry to everybody, All LEB mail was sent to my junk folder :(
New XEN offer soon! :)
Martin, are you going to restock 512mb xen soon? or new xen offer?
