  4. Pretty much my only LEB that I use daily is with NECS, it has always been solid and the latency is even better since migrating to Rapid Switch.

After reading your TOS, it’s fully protect the provider, not even a thought for customer. No backup event of any hardware failure… what is the point of raid 10? too much to mention here. I feel like your TOS is a joke only to protect the “provider”.

  12. Raid is not a backup technology, we also provide free backup space for anyone that wants it free of charge, this part of the terms is fairly common across the industry, it is a self managed service and it is your data and thus you are responsible for your own data and data backups as well. The point of raid 10 is to allow some fault tolerance as they are mechanical drives while providing enough IOPS for the host node to cope with the servers running on it.

If this is an issue for you then you might want to consider someone like known host who offer a fully managed service including your backups if you want them, this is a free market and I could pick almost any provider on the first 3 pages on the LEB blog and find the same terms.

Again the terms are not intended as a joke, I hope this addresses the points you have made, you are obviously free to choose another host, this is an open market.

After doing your suggestion, reading few provider on front page on the LEB blog, their TOS, for me are reasonable for me. I still feel like your TOS is over protective for “provider” and is a joke.

Seem to be having issues with openvpn server access on this provider. Once connected no web pages load, nothing. All my other VPN’s work perfectly. I did contact support they don’t offer support for third party software which is understandable.

usually this happens when ip_forwarding is not enabled

      maybe try:

      cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

and if it’s zero, do this:

      echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

Been with NECS for ~6 months or so now, have a Windows VPS with them and a Linux VPS, great support – on each occasion they have responded the same day with a resolution.

Zero downtime, and even during their migration to a different DC they gave me 4 weeks of parallel running to get both my VPS’s moved over manually and test etc etc.

Definitely recommend these guys if you want a solid VPS that’s UK hosted and reliable 24/7.

    :)
