Tags: , , Date/Time: July 12, 2010 @ 7:09 am, by LowEndAdmin

PingVPS Via this WHT offer. PingVPS, who has been in business since 2002 according to their about us page, is offering 20% off recurring discount to their “Customisable VPS plans”, which you start with something very basic and gradually builds your box up. The basic configuration, after promo code JULYCUST20 is applied (using this ordering link), is just 1.06 GBP (~USD$1.59), and you get

  • 64MB guaranteed/128MB burstable memory
  • 5GB storage
  • 10GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Although it’s an UK company, the servers are in Roubaix, France. Domain less than a year old though with both NS on the same network (probably the same box). Even it’s also-known-as outfit Cooca.net is showing under-construction page. Well, pretty cheap price though for your next name server/backup MX in Frace :)

Got a VPS there since Jan, they bought out my last host ZxVPS which I was with for quite a long time, transferred my VPS with no issues to new server, been great since I was moved on to their servers, no downtime, they use solusvm which is a really good control panel IMHO, the VPS itself is way faster on pingVPS, support is fast, got more IP’s when I wanted them no problems, only asked a couple of questions ever but always just a few minutes to get an answer. Overall, my only worry is they are so cheap maybe they wont stay so good.

+1, got a similar package with them and it’s pretty decent. Mine’s at OVH.

Isn’t this the 3rd/4th return of this same design? I could have sworn there was a posting just last month with this same theme.

  6. Hmm. It does look pretty familiar — can’t remember where I saw it last time either. Most cheap hosting sites seem to have got their designs in the same shop…

Well… ordered one and it shows active in WHMCS, however I got no email for IP’s and SolusVM login. Submitted a ticket and let’s see how it goes.

  9. The 64 customizable package is very cheap, but if you increase the RAM to 256, the price will become $4.38 with just 5GB HDD & 10GB bandwidth, not so cheap anymore.

    @KLIKLI
If you order customizable VPS, they will do the setup manually. And maybe the support still sleep now :)

    @ LEA

I think it’s from Payton Designs, the last host using this was “WhyNotaVPS”

Also interesting PingVPS offers SSD drives, wonder what the performance is like on one of those

Just to say that I ordered a VPS from these guys using this coupon, and despite my problems with payment (Google’s fault) and specific requirements for the VPS, their response was very fast and setup time was sub 1hr – even with some customisation.

Obviously have to give a few months to test, but so far so good.

Admin, the design is available on themeforest, which is why so many startup companies have it.

@bekanosky I’ve submitted a ticket and he claims that it was sent. However he did resent anyway.

Will test soon, maybe I’ll post @ WHT

I bought a VPS from these guys last week using a coupon for a VZ-3 plan.
Setup was instant, no sooner had I paid than an email with my setup and login details were in my inbox.

Right at this moment I am extremely happy indeed, the speed is one of the best I have had from a VPS in over 4 years of owning one.
The support is good, although I have only entered about 5 tickets so far but I got a response within 10 mins every time.
So far so good… I hope it continues cos I hate moving from one host to another. ;)

  19. Hi,

I couldn’t find the phone number or the address on their website, all I found was this:

PingVPS.com is a privately owned web hosting services company based in Rotherham, United Kingdom.

Had my first one since Jan 2010, so 13 months now. Now I have 3 VPS here, the prices have gone up a bit but I don’t mind, the service is great and worth 10x the price I pay them anyway. Also they added USA VPS but no custom version so not exactly cheap enough for lowendbox, $12.95 although it was 20% off coupon last month still 10 dollars.
