  1. Thank’s for the post Asim :)
The only minus side is the Billing System. They do it manually, so it’s kind a weird for me.
Although they are great in providing the service and many host use them :)
My VPS with them will due at January :D

  2. Hi,

Well what Erawan said is true, their billing system is manually based, i had some vps with them and i just didnt want to continue and i left the vps expire, after 1 month i had some invoice coming and i saw my vps was still online, i thought the vps would have been terminated but as i saw they did not, they need an email where you specify you are canceling the service, if you dont send them, the vps will be online for the time being and your account will be billed and also added penalties and fees for not paying the invoice.

Overall they are good on what they are doing and they know what they are doing :) also they dedicateds offer are pretty good and stable. Never had to much troubles when i was using their services :)

    Thank you

  7. Hi,

thanks for reviewing our services. We really appreciate that.

Regarding our billing system: We verify all orders manually, that’s right. After an order has been accepted, the provisioning of the VMs and also the complete billing is fully automated.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    • I live in PK and for some weird config or whatever, if there’s Level3 then the ping response time is between 150ms – 190ms otherwise 260ms+

From what I can see Level3 pretty much ends in Marseille, where it connects several Middle East ISPs via the undersea cable. Many people think of China/Japan/Singapore when they see “Asia”, and Level3 does not seem to have anything there.

Order has been processed in under 2 hours (on a sunday!). Performance is very decent from what I have seen so far. For Debian they could use the german mirror instead of the us mirror by default in the apt sources, not noticed anything else so far.
Oh, cool ip by the way ;D (5.45.xxx.xxx)

Nameserver by default configured like this on debian:

  17. In general all services are allowed as long as the usage doesn’t violate German or EU law. For instance, Torrents are allowed, but sharing warez isn’t.

As for the payment options: At the moment we accept payments by Paypal only.

  27. We are currently hit victim of a very large DDOS attack that even negatively effected the backbones of some of our upstream providers. Target of the attack is the SolusVM control panel and our website http://www.providerservice.com. While our network and the networks of our upstreams are stable again, we needed to blackhole the IP addresses under attack. That means that the SolusVM panel and our website is currently unavailable.

I ordered one vps and test some aplications, good memory and uptime but only a 2.1ghz core and this make the vps slow.

    September 21, 2012 @ 2:57 am | Reply
    • rm:

I wouldn’t say the CPU is slow, and also they use AMD Opteron 6272 which is a 16-core CPU and you can have up to 4 of those in a motherboard:
      http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-Opteron%206272%20OS6272WKTGGGU.html
so with a 16- to 64-core node on average you will probably get more CPU time than on some 4-core node as long as there are other clients who use CPU too.

in this vps my web apps run slow (aprox 40% more slow than in my other vps *128 ram – 1 core 3.4ghz* -with same OS and apache setup) this vps mark between 5150 – 5200 bogomips and my other vps mark above than 6000

        September 21, 2012 @ 6:56 pm | Reply
        • Fritz:

IMHO, that is understandable. Since you are located far away from Europe I guess?

          September 22, 2012 @ 1:28 am | Reply
        • willpeters:

yes, i am not in Europe but this is not the point because the ping to both vps is near close (vps1 – 150ms and vps2 (this) 180ms) but when i use firebug for see the load times (one php file with some lines) the diference is 300ms aprox.

        • willpeters:

and not only a php load is slow, the ftp access too, in general all is slow compared with my other (small vps), posibly if some people not have a comparison view point (other vps) not note this, in resume with this experience i say that more memory with less cpu speed in some cases the general performance is low, well, i love test VPS services and some day found one that run fine for me with a good price, next year i try amazon EC2. finally for this price this vps is the best option for people that need more memory, and this company looks serious.

        • Joe Merit:

if you are looking for power you picked the wrong vps, the unixbench result on this vps ranges from 245 to 270 which is pretty weak but its probably worth the money.

        • With our VMs you get almost dedicated AMD Bulldozer Cores with 2.1 GHz. The performances of one core might be lower than a shared E3 core, that many hosts provide. But on a node with a Quad Core CPU that is very much depending on the performance that other VMs use. With our VMs you are always able to use the full performance of the cores included in your plan.

We have installed a Oxid Esales based demo shop on a Xen-512MB VM, which can be tested at http://www.test666.de/. From my point of view the performance seems to be rather good.

The CPU hasn’t much influence on FTP transfers, so I suppose that the performance issues we are talking about are probably not CPU related. If you are not located in the EU, you are probably facing a problem that is caused by network latency or network throughput.

        • We had an issue with our primary DNS resolver, that is solved now. It might have caused the issued you have described.

I test other time but webapps run with same times (this is normal, maybe in my first post i must add that see this vps slow compared with my other vps and this is logical for the core diference (3.4ghz vs 2.1ghz) though this depend of the real machine that run de VMs) but now the ftp connection run much faster than yesterday (100% more faster aprox.), thanks.

@ProviderService You mean the VM number is close to the CPU cores available on the host node? I’m very interested in the node specifications. I didn’t notice any significant slowdowns with my VPS FYI. xD
