You’ll need to pay VAT if you are based in UK/EU and without a VAT number. Servers are in either UK Grid in Manchester (default), or Sota Connect in Kent. You’ll get more info + the test IP from their About Us page. IPv6 is also coming in the Manchester location. James also mentioned that if you intend to host IRC servers, you will need to contact them first.
QualityServers/QuickVPS have been featured here on LowEndBox for a year, and as their name has suggested, they do seem to provide quality servers in UK.

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
Just to clarify, our prices include VAT where applicable and IPv6 is now here, tested and working.

Interesting location for Manchester atleast 😛
Mm….
Is it means that their DC is in Lancester University?
Our office is based in Lancaster and LUNS is another company within the building who are a LIR. They provide us with IP space but we have rack space in Manchester at Synergy House.
I understand from the signup page that support is forum only? So when I have troubles with the vps, which are not my fault (for example downtime) I should start a forum thread?
Hi Vincent,
If there are hardware/network issues, then of course you can submit a ticket. The forum is more for issues with, for example installing software.
Is TUN/TAP enabled? And if not, can I get it enabled if a order a VPS from you?
It’s enabled

James Todd > Is it possible to install FreeBSD as a DomU on the Xen offer ? If not, do you have a rescue system from where I can install whatever system I want ?
Regards,
Yann
That’s not possible, sorry.
What is the difference between the premium and cheap VPS?
No overselling, fewer VPSs per node, slightly better performance.
How long does it take to process orders? I’ve been waiting an hour so far. I know it’s a bank holiday and I’m being impatient but I can’t be the only person working today?
I’ve deployed all of the orders in the queue. Let me know if you still haven’t got yours.
I’ve had a VPS with them for around a year now and I am very satisfied with their services. Definitely recommend it.
Thanks Alex!
Signed up a couple of days ago, control panel not working, sent support ticket right away, 24h+ for reply, been waiting for another 24 hours while they’re “checking out the problem”.
Still no VPS after 48h available to me.
Hi,
Were getting a new node online now as we ran out of stock. You should have been notified by ticket. What’s your ticket ID?
@James:
I received a reply a little while ago, so no problems.
You should know that your SSL certificate for cp.qvps.net is invalid (firefox shows warning message) – you should take a look at it.
I can’t even load the url. Are you sure that’s correct?
What specific error are you receiving? Might be helpful just in case they can’t see what you’re looking at. Please remember specifics always help.
@drmike
They use the solusvm port for the cp.
Thanks. Some google’ing tells me that’s 5656. Is that correct?
Appears to be. The cert is just self-signed. It’s still valid.
They just went out of the VPS market, look somewhere else….
