How ? There is no option when ordering, no matter what location I choose.

That’s in reference to “Budget Box VZ” which is 1.99. Budget Box VZ II with everything doubled is 2.99 (i.e including the extra $1, they renamed “Test Box” to “Budget Box” but forgot to edit the description).

i mailed them within 5 days of buying server but they dont offer refund

Sorry to hear that, please tell me your ticket number and i will look at it for you, make sure you did provide us details about how your server is slow so we can easily pin point the cause.
Refund policy is stated in Terms of Service when you signed-up.

i asked then to give me a all together new server for one month with kloxo installed so that i can try ur servers again and then decide….also i want the server with texas ip and not a routed ip

just signed up for the service for a 6 month contract .. signup for quick. vps was available right away. put my website online, seams to load fast enough..
after my last experience with 123Systems, i am really hoping this works out as expected. with 123 systems i had around 5 hours of downtime everyday
I’m in The Netherlands, and this is my first server in the USA.
I used that old offer in Phoenix (still works), because I couldn’t find the link for the UK.
I can say, although the distance is huge, the speed is great!
Even faster than my 4 other VPS’s in The Netherlands.
But there’s one problem: The Debian installation is incomplete (no Aptitude, apt-get update doesn’t work like it has to, no Squeeze), but using CentOS, everything works.
This is an issue for me, since I’m used to Debian, and I like using Debian better than CentOS.

Isn’t it better to have a full installation of it?
I mean, I don’t want to take risks for not having Aptitude, non-working “apt-get” command, etc., like I had with Debian 5 (which wasn’t a minimal installation).
These commands need to work, as they’re Debian’s core apps.
I mean, Debian without Aptitude is like CentOS without Yum, or OpenSuSE without YaST, or Arch without Pacman.
Stuffs like that you need to open ticket so we can fix it. 32-bit is coming soon.
im on this package and apt-get is working fine.
Only problem i had was i had to recompile some of my 32bit programs :-/
For some reason, minimal versions of the OS uses more RAM than the “normal” ones.
By the way apt-get or yum update issue could be related to name resolver issue try editing /etc/resolve.conf and add namserver 88888

yes that’s true for UK location only, please refrain from posting internal communications in public, there is similar notice in our twitter account about this. Rest assured that UK VPS will be provisioned once we got new IP block.
Nothing wrong with posting tickets, I have yet to find a provider that sues for people doing it. (I’ve done it plenty of times, and only received abusing and threatening emails and letters from one provider for doing it)
Yes we consider all communications with client private unless with permission from us each company has their own privacy policy which shlould be repected.

Bought UK server yesterday. TAP/TUN enabled within a few minutes of my request. iptables nat added just as quickly. Impressed so far!

Their UK Midphase OpenVZ node appears to have stability problems – it has gone down several times in the past week including as I write this.
yes we are working on resolving this issue, the node you are in is being hammered with DDoS attacks lately.

I would advise anyone from taking this offer.
They have been suffering IO issues for weeks now and refuse to work on resolving it, claming the node is “pretty fast”, and saying they have no additional nodes to transfer my VPS over to.

Well, if the reality is as you say, and they refuse to fix this, is a shame.
They escalated this to someone who promised to look at it again, offered me a refund and promised new nodes “in January”, good on their part.
I will wait and see if the performance improves…
New nodes aren’t a good response. Probably they can’t accept how much uberoverselling that node has.
Hello, this is being looked at, new nodes was a response from an inquiry. Please avoid running that stress test while we are working as it add to the problem. So far the speed is good from host node, some adjustments on your VPS settings is being investigated.

That being said, I will refrain from posting here until this matter is completely resolved.
right LEA can freely remove if not allowed however i don’t want to argue and let the people see for themself if web page is loading that slow as he claimming to be, no more guessing who is telling the truth or not just see for yourself! I’m telling the client if he is not happy just move elsewhere.
To wrap this story up, I made a last ditch attempt and ran yum update to see if maybe an old package was causing my issue. This resulted in MySQL refusing to start, even on an empty database set, and the QuickWeb staff couldn’t assist me.
They promised me a refund for my remaining time about a week ago, haven’t seen any money yet though. They removed my account so I can’t even see my tickets or proof of the refund they promised me. Anyway, I’m not mad about ten bucks but the whole experience with them has been ham-handed.
