Rackburst - €2.19/month 256MB and €3.99/month 1GB OpenVZ SSD VPS in Frankfurt, Germany

rackburstJonny, from Rackburst, is back with some new offers to celebrate the launch of their Frankfurt, Germany location! He has these two offers for you, the second on which is a LEB exclusive launch special. We know Jonny from Evorack. Rackburst is owned by the same parent company as Evorack: ABPNI Computer Solutions Ltd. They have launched Rackburst last year as their OpenVZ SSD brand. Rackburst’s aim is to provide low-cost, affordable, fast OpenVZ VPS, whereas Evorack will maintain its focus on Xen. This offer is hosted on modern hardware, using Intel Xeon CPUs and RAID10 disk arrays. Rackburst staff have flown into Frankfurt to set all this up, which is good to know. One thing special about Rackburst is that you get “normal” storage in addition to the SSD storage that’s available. This means you can cram all the essentials on the SSD and have most of your data on the slow disk. No coupons are required for these offers. Please share your reviews with us in the comments or at LowEndTalk.com!

As I understand the DC is http://www.first-colo.net/? And the hardware is colocated?

Any comments from LEB users who could share they experience with this DC, uptime, reliability?

      Hi James,

That’s correct about the DC. Excellent company. And yes, we own our own hardware co-located in their DC. We’ve personally visited the DC and installed the servers ourselves.

Feel free to ask anything else

      Cheers

I dont find normal hdd storage on plan specs other than 30gb remote storage probably for backups.

    • Jonny_Evorack:

This is the correct storage as referred to. It’s not just for backups! It’s provided over a remote mount as OpenVz doesn’t support two hard drives.

I am aware of this customer and I can state that he/she is lying. I have repeated told him/her these past 24 hours that we will of course issue a refund, but this has to be done by our accounts departments and is not handled imediately, unlike technical issues.

Regarding the technical issues, we are unable to find anything on our end, however I keep asking for details from the customer as we are more than willing to help. However he/she won’t provide any details and just says “I do not want to work with you”. As such, I am unable to help him/her.

      Thanks

As per my email that I sent out to everyone a few minutes ago, our Frankfurt DC is currently expericing issues outside of Rackburst’s control. We are in communication with them to make sure that service is resumed as quickly as possible.

        Your patience is appreciated.

        • Yes, our DC provider did indeed have an outage however what I’m saying is that you weren’t wiling to work with us regarding your network problems well after that particular outage was resolved (which lasted only a few minutes). Your issue was clearly related to something else, that we were more than willing to help you with, however you refused to work with us.

      Hi,

I have been using rackburst since beginning of the year, I host a few websites and I have to say the servers are very fast. I have also had very quick responses to any queries. I have a rolling monthly contract and intend to stick with it. I monitor the servers uptime remotely, and have had no issues all year. Highly recommend them. They dont offer a strict service level agreement, but if your expecting that, you would/should probably be paying for something bigger than a VPS at this cost.

        • Hi Jonny, I hope you’ll get this message. I have been trying to get support from rackburst.net for over a week now. I wrote dozen of tickets and even called the abpni company on the phone but no one is answering.
Would you please take a look at my vps at vnode4 in Frankfurt the ip address is 79.133.47.169
I am getting this error from solusvm
“An error occurred processing your request. The host is currently unavailable. Please try again later”
The ip address responds to ping but there is no chance I can successfully complete any action from solusvm like reboot boot shutdown or anything it just gives the same error every time.

Please man, it would mean a world to me, just take a look at it.

          Thank you.

I’ve been trying to reach them on phone but no success just answering machine that’s all, and emails and support tickets don’t get replied, now it is 6th day almost a week since my website is down and I am simply put helpless. Terrible feeling. Horror.
