  5. Chiming in to confirm Wilson’s post. Their site is up and I submitted a ticket to their system over 4 hours ago. I’ve yet to receive a response. Am unable to reach my VPS or the Solus VM so I’m guessing the host my VPS is on is down.

  6. The Verdict:

Confirming @Wilson and @Richard …. cant get into my server for almost 12 hours now. Submitted 2 trouble tickets, and have not heard anything back.

I did sign up for another service off this site because of it — lets hope that one has better uptime/performance … as it was one of the annual ones

Got a welcome email this morning, but it looks like the VPS moved machines, or something as the IP in the email is all wrong. COntrol Panel gives proper one, but when logged in all data has been lost. ITs a fresh install it seems

    September 25, 2010 @ 2:18 pm
  10. My situation is worse than Me-as-well’s. I got a new welcome email which has a bunch of wrong information too but I was able to login to the Solus control panel after doing a password reset from it. It shows my VPS as up and it gives the same IP that was in my new welcome email but I cannot access the machine. It appears to be firewalled. Furthermore, I can’t use their out of band console because the applet errors out. They provide a username, ip and port for the out of band console but the password is just ****** and they never provided that elsewhere.

I opened another ticket with support because they closed my one from yesterday after replying merely that they contacted the data center.

This is proving to be not worth the effort.

  11. What is going on?:

I signed up as I have for several VPSes that I have found on LEB. Setup with RLSHosting was within minutes, speeds were great. Performance in the VPS was very very very nice, I was not sure if I was one of the first ones on the node… but nevertheless I was pleased.

Then I got two and then three setup emails with different information in it, specifically IP’s of my VPS. Yesterday I was logged into to my VPS fine. Today, after receiving the emails, I logged into SolusVM and saw that my IP’s had changed and my container had been redeployed to CentOS. WTF? I used the console within SolusVM and it logs me into my VPS with my old IP, not the new one listed in SolusVM. Both old and new IP are ‘network unreachable’ for me from the US, UK, and Europe.

It seems to me there is more going on that just firewall issues. I have lost everything that I have setup. No backups were made because I was not finished setting it up! If I start setting it up again what guarantees do I have that it will not be redeployed on supports whim again?

As with Richard… this is proving to not be worth the effort… good solution in the beginning, starting to become a headache now. So much for their 99.9% SLA.

    September 25, 2010 @ 4:29 pm
  14. I was contacted and told that the host was back up but I may need to rebuild my VPS. I still couldn’t connect so I logged into the control panel and rebuilt my VPS. It is working now again. Hopefully it stays working.

    September 26, 2010 @ 3:19 am
  15. We do apoligize for the downtime. You may ask for a refund or credit on your service. We did a reformat. Not a migration. The reason why it was down was a technical issue on the node that was not resolved and has caused the server to not reboot at all. We used kvm and couldn’t solve the issue as well. I assure you that this will not happen again. WHMCS created new IPs as well and didn’t create the vps with the same IP unfortunately. It was a very stressful for you as clients and us as a company. We have taken measures to prevent this kind of situation from happening again.

Glad you got it, I never did and then the owner screamed at me when I went mad!

      • With the subject line “Theft” who wouldn’t want to deal with you.

        June 6, 2011 @ 12:59 pm
  17. This is the email forwarded to me:

We have decided to terminate all VPS Sales & VPS Services. Our management was poor in dealing with it and our company can not handle the work load with the VPS Services. You may ask for a Refund if you wish. If you need Shared & Reseller Hosting(cPanel/WHM) please contact us. We know handle that quite well! :)

We will be reselling VPS Services instead for a differnt company. We already do this for Dedicated Servers.

The servers will be supended October 10, 2010. Make sure you back up your stuff if you can and if you lost your data I apoligize. It was stupid and uncalled for.

I guess the extra work load might be referring to recent hardware related issues? What I also found that supporting low-priced VPS might still be expensive — bunch of cheapskates that still need hand-holding.

Anyway. Another one exiting the budget VPS hosting.

    October 1, 2010 @ 1:36 pm
  18. Confirming Jumbalaya’s post.

“We have decided to terminate all VPS Sales & VPS Services. Our management was poor in dealing with it and our company can not handle the work load with the VPS Services. You may ask for a Refund if you wish.”

Well, what I really want back is the time I wasted dealing with these ppl who were in over their head. I think they sum it up best:

“It was stupid and uncalled for.”

    October 1, 2010 @ 1:38 pm
  19. Think whatever you want. We do fine with Shared & Reseller Accounts & Reselling VPS & Reselling Dedicated Servers. I don’t need Hand Holding and what do you except for $3? Everything? I know you want it to “work”. That’s the problem. It wasn’t a hardware problem. It was software issues that we couldn’t handle. Wasting time? You should of asked for a refund long time ago. Anyways, we aren’t done with Shared & Reseller Accounts with cPanel. They are quite easy to manage themselves. We tried our best at VPS and failed. I have nothing else to say. We could of just kept going and took more people’s money. Nope. Not a good thing to do. Have you tried to manage your own VPS Node? Anyways, It’s harder than it looks. I hope that you enjoy your next host since I am so bad compared to other hosts or whatever.

    October 1, 2010 @ 2:03 pm
    • Hey. You took my comment wrongly. Cheapskates requiring hand-holding — I was talking about many “low end” VPS customers, not you. Those are the real cost to a hosting company.

      October 1, 2010 @ 3:30 pm
      • Ok. No Problem. I am just stressed out because of all of this. I really wanted this to work out bad. Really Bad. I wish that it did work out for everybody. It feels like I did it for nothing as well.

        • Paul:

Passion is what you need, not desperation, maybe if you spent time sorting yourself out rather than screaming at clients and trying to fuck them over on scam sites you will go far, well now you have a war, and I alwayws win!

        October 2, 2010 @ 5:33 am
        • Paul:

Oh the attitude when you tell clients to do sexual acts to their family? Shout at them and then list them on sites related to scamming?

  20. RLS processed my refund.

    October 1, 2010 @ 6:58 pm
  21. Dont know if RLS is following the thread. Seems you are still offering higher end VPS plans (or has the site not been updated – unlikely). I am thinking of trying out RLS..

    November 14, 2010 @ 5:59 am
  22. Whenever you are ready and if you are willing to pay more than Low End please don’t hesitate to order with us. We just haven’t added the Control Panel options on the VPS Products yet. We just added Direct Admin Hosting & Direct Admin Reseller Hosting as well. We will add an Off-site Backup service in the near future as well.

    November 14, 2010 @ 8:49 pm
  23. We got a new vps node and have new plans. We don’t use Solus VM anymore. We have fully tested this as well and we have installed Virtualizor instead.

Joke of a company, who love to rip you off, and then list you on sites saying your a scammer.

    June 6, 2011 @ 3:16 am
  25. I don’t rip people off. I don’t listen to little babies that cry. Don’t curse at people or it may haunt you later. You posted on sites too. I gave you a good reason and you lied about it. You deserve everything that you get.

  26. It’s funny how he pretends to be somebody else until he runs his company. He didn’t even list his link here. His company is Dial A Host. DialAHost. http://www.dialahost.co.uk Dial A Moron since he cannot obviously see a site that’s not scamming people. He only knows how to treat people fair only when $$$ is involved.

    June 6, 2011 @ 12:05 pm
    • Gary:

Whether he’s telling the truth or not, I wouldn’t touch your company, purely due to your attitude here. Refute his accusations sure, but calling names just makes you look like yet another kiddy host. If you’re running a business, try to be professional.

      June 6, 2011 @ 12:15 pm
      • Good man. I don’t want you as a client anyways. Names or not. You won’t be very happy as I can tell from the post above.

        June 6, 2011 @ 12:18 pm
        • No matter what you won’t be happy.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:19 pm
        • Gary:

Again, the lack of professionalism is astonishing.

Perhaps when you grow up you’ll realise this isn’t a good image for your business. You do realise that when you google “rlshosting” or “rls hosting”, this page is on the first page of results, right?

I’m sure you’ll do ok, since so many people leap in head first without researching a company, but fingers crossed it’ll at least save some people from giving money to an idiot.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:23 pm
      • I didn’t use any language on the post that was replied by Low End Admin but you sound like you won’t be happy no matter what is said.

It’s alright. I have many happy clients and many complainers like you. I am sure that host gator has the same including burst.net I have been called every name in the book. You act pretty childish yourself since you cannot obviously read what was said.

I don’t deal with people that curse me out. I only deal with clients that act professional. You aren’t one of them.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:30 pm
        • Gary:

Did you really just compare yourself to burst or hostgator? That’s pretty funny.

I’ve read what was said, and I see a customer who could be acting better, but you’re the business. What he does reflects on him, but then he’s not a brand. You are. You don’t seem to see just how much reputation matters in this game.

Good luck staying out of the deadpool, you’re going to need it.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:33 pm
        • You are the one that’s funny since you cannot read.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:36 pm
        • Gary:

Still you respond like a brat. With every extra response, your business looks even more like it’s being run by children.

You’d do well to stop responding, or at least take a professional stance.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:39 pm
        • Good. That’s your opinion. I hope that you enjoy your childish remarks. I don’t deal with clients that don’t act professional.

Another nail in your business’s coffin…

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:44 pm
        • Lol. You sound rather stupid.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:45 pm
        • Gary:

There’s that professionalism we’ve come to expect from rlshosting.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:48 pm
        • No. That’s the professionalism you expect from talking to Gary.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:51 pm
  27. Do you think I care about my reputation when I post this crap? I don’t even have very many orders a month to count. I sure won’t do cheap servers for cheap skates like you either. Most people whine and cry about the server down and want refunds immediately after. They cry scam because they got mad over a measly $6. Like you. Lol. That’s how stupid you really are. If you run a good company, which I highly doubt since you paid $6 for a vps. You would of gotten a better and more expensive vps. Good luck with your company. I doubt that anybody is going to be pleased with you cursing at them for no reason at all.

    June 6, 2011 @ 12:11 pm
    • Gary:

Wow. So basically people shouldn’t expect a service/decent customer service for so little money?

If people pay you the prices you ask, no matter how much or how little you ask, they deserve the service you promised.

In essence, you just said “you pay peanuts, you get monkeys, and boy are we monkeys”.

      June 6, 2011 @ 12:17 pm
      • He doesn’t deserve it. Others do.

        June 6, 2011 @ 12:19 pm
        • Gary:

If he pays, he deserves it. Liking the customer or respecting them is one thing, but if you take their money, you owe them the service.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:24 pm
        • He doesn’t deserve service when he curses me out. He deserves it otherwise. Please read what I wrote. It’s an automatic suspension/termination.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:27 pm
        • Gary:

He deserves service no matter what, until you process a refund.

Sounds like your incompetence pissed off a lot of customers. You couldn’t handle running the business, and it went to shit. The right thing to do would be to offer refunds, not have a flamewar on someone else’s forum.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:31 pm
      • No. He doesn’t. I would rather block them than have a flame war with you. I am still in business. I can handle my business. Only one datacenter had spam complaints. The others didn’t. See. You don’t know the whole story. Not responding would be better than dealing with whiners like you.

        June 6, 2011 @ 12:35 pm
        • Gary:

Then piss off and don’t respond. I don’t know the whole story, and neither will prospective customers who see your crappy attitude here. Don’t you see that? People will just see you bitching like a 13-year old girl, and steer clear of your business.

Neither side has behaved perfectly here, but you’re the one with a business reputation to protect, not him.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:38 pm
        • So, I cannot defend my business? I don’t offer refunds to people that curse me out. Seriously, you quit acting like an overgrown child.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:45 pm
        • Gary:

I told you to defend your business. I suggested you do it in a professional manner though. Not in the style of a 13-year old girl.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:46 pm
        • You sound like a 2 year old.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:48 pm
        • Gary:

You’re about 3 posts away from a “So’s your face”, or an “I know you are, but what am I?”…

I’ll bow out of this thread before it gets messier, it almost feels like cruelty having an argument with you. Battle of wits with an unarmed man and all that. I’ll look forward to your business being in the dead pool.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:50 pm
        • Dealing with you is like dealing with a train wreck. You’d be never happy and you’d open 50 tickets in one day. I am sorry to inform you but I am more competent than that. Professional and Ignorance isn’t in the same sentence. People may not like me but people do like me. I don’t deal with ignorance. Can you see that I am making fun of you? I am not that stupid to make fun of somebody that is being stupid. People have different expectations of each other. If you cannot feel happy with a “I am sorry” like most people. I feel sorry for you instead of the other way around.

          June 6, 2011 @ 12:56 pm
  28. I don’t do business with cry babies. I only do business with “real” people.
