To get a reply, you need to wait a minimum 24 hours(many times 2-3 days).
I do see similar reviews on WHT on their service even now.

They have very nice offers. But, because of their support it is better to stay away.

I don’t know about you, but I just signed up for an account the other day, and their support has been excellent. Initially, my vps wouldn’t start, and they were very prompt in getting that fixed. Then I had problems with my firewall, there were iptables kernel modules missing on their host, which they quickly enabled for me.

I was expecting them to tell me they wouldn’t enable the modules, but they did, and very quickly.

So so far, based on their prompt response time alone, I would purchase more servers from them!

My guess would be the Eonix cage in Phoenix NAP since a)ServerHub is owned by Eonix b) the traceroute shows Eonix as the last hop before speedtest.serverhub.com c) there’s a big “datacenter” link on every page of ServerHub’s site :)

If you’re wondering “how can they offer 6 IPs?”. The answer: Eonix owns a few IPs: 274,000 IPv4 originated http://bgp.he.net/AS30693)

These VPS must be overselled seriously. I just bought a LEB2-X 1536MB and did a few download test using “wget” command, the speed is lower than 800K/s most of the time, while my other VPS on Digital Ocean got a average speed of 30M/s.
Too bad, Their TOS says they don’t provide trial periods so there is no way to get money back.

I tried to put in an order and have failed. The first time the discount did not work, I changed the amount to 12 thinking it would bill me for a year. The second time the order just wound not go through. The order has been listed as fraud (probably due to MaxMind issues and the number of VPS’s (I only need one)). Can you please fix my invoice (Invoice #4299360165) so that I can pay you (for a year)?

  27. I have experienced literally none of the problems mentioned here. My VPS (LEB3-X in Dallas) was set up instantly, the speed is great, and all the tickets I’ve sent their way (I have had a LEB3-R, info here for a while and sent a ticket or two about it) have been answered swiftly. I am mildly disappointed by the fact that I didn’t have any IPv6 addresses on this new VPS, when I ticketed they said they were almost out, which is rather hard to believe, because…IPv6. But they did get me two which is fine for now, and they work normally. Download speed is more like gigabit than 100mbit, I’m averaging as much as 60MB/s to locations such as Chicago and Miami. 27MB/s to NYC. No complaints whatsoever.

      D,

I am currently located in Europe. I travel through-out Europe, Asia, ME and Africa. If I am having problems placing an order here, then others are possibly having the same problems, and just have not said anything. There is a great deal of fraud in this business, so I understand that they would flag my order, but they should have a way to communicate when these issues come up.

      David,

Thanks for much for the praise. The IPv6 we ran out of, wasn’t our IPv6 as a whole. It was just what was allocated for that specific node. =) We are allocating additional v6 to that node today.

      Cheers

      • OK, thanks for clearing that up. I would appreciate it if you could allocate me some additional addresses once that’s done and update my ticket, which is on hold. Please :)

        • Had to bump my ticket to get a response, but when I did it was again resolved fairly quickly, and I got a 7 day extension on my next due date for the “inconvenience”. It wasn’t really an inconvenience, but hey, I’ll take it!

  28. Apolo:

I had 3 VPSs with them. I am cancelling them all. 1st cancel some minutes ago. Others will go same way soon.

    The story:
With my first VPS everything was fine.
With my second VPS it took 8 days and several tickets to be able to download and install Webmin… then after some weeks, despite CSF installed and still no sites there I got a notice that VPS was compromised and the null routed/disabled. It was on 22th July. No answer to my tickets until now. No answer to my tickets about my not answered tickets until now.
With my third VPS I had several issues with Virtualmin install and stop worrying about when was able to find all 3 VPS used different base images. Cancelled after first month.

To tell the truth I really like to have so many ips available on a plan and, for obviously oversold hardware, everything about speed and performances was acceptable for me.
But to do something useful with VPSs I also need support answer in less than 1 day, to be able to work with clients, and about same image of chosen distro on every install, to avoid restarting install procedure with every VPS I get. Luckly I always test/play with servers for a while before using them for any client. So I am losing only some usds not clients.

So if you feel lucky and/or have lots of spare time go for this provider. If you are a busy adult stay away.

        @John
I can detail things a litle:
        about 1st VPS
Everything went perfect. Only issue I had was Virtualmin showing wrong mem size – that not happens on several others VPSs (but they dont have “2gb”…)
        about 2nd VPS
You can see tickets ZMU-301-60652 (solved), KOQ-392-37142 (mail reply – no answer, forward about – no answer) and KOQ-392-37142 (no answer) to verify what I said.
Of course I paid on due date (26th) even with suspended service.
        about 3rd VPS
I gave up about install procedure after strong Webmin issues as said and after conclusion of different images (maybe usual on bigger providers and several DCs like you – I really don’t know)

You must agree that paying 3 VPS and having 1 able to be used is hard to accept.

Where/How you want me to use that reference? Tried to contact your support before, from email and from ticket system without any kind of reply…

        @ALL READERS
To be completely fair where you read “tickets” you must read “ticket instances” (1st issue) or “ticket reopens” (2nd issue) on top previous post.

          @ Apolo,

It appears you listed KOQ-392-37142 twice in your post. The first ticket that was answered was general support related. But KOQ-392-37142 as you mentioned was a Trust & Safety issues due to a policy violation. I have re-opened that ticket for you so you may appeal that restriction provided the issue that lead to the restriction is resolved.

Do you have a third ticket number?

I’m just here to add my two cents. Offer sounds great with those IPv4s and decent RAM, so I placed an order for the LEB3-X last night. An entire business day has now come and gone with the order still “Pending”. I raised a support ticket and emailed support@serverhub.

It took about half an hour for me to get a response to both my email and my ticket, which isn’t bad in general and good for what I consider after regular hours. My order is processed and my VPS provisioned and the guy seems nice enough.

It appears some of their orders are going into some kind of manual provisioning queue, but I’m good to go. Anyways, here’s what I got with an LEB 3-X in Dallas:

  40. I can’t enable the TUN interface from the control panel either…

    August 11, 2013 @ 7:50 pm | Reply
  41. I ordered one of these, it ended up in the Fraud review but they sorted that out for me right away. I started setting up my server and noticed that TAP/TUN was not enabled on it, so I looked to enable it on the SolousVM, as most other OpenVZ/SolousVM providers have the option in their control panel, but not on ServerHub. I opened a support ticket and asked them to enable it for me. John replied to my ticket and told me it had been enabled. I rebooted and tried it again, still not enabled, I replied and opened a new ticket stating it was still not enabled or working correctly from their side of things. I got another response saying that it indeed had been enabled. Rebooted two more times, still not enabled. I’ve replied to my ticket again, and even have provided a link from OpenVZ wiki on how to enable TUN/TAP on the host, and have asked to at least be moved to a node that TAP/TUN is for sure enabled on. Now I wait, 6 hours from when I got the first response, and no one is responding to my tickets anymore even. I emailed, sent a message on facebook, still nothing. I’ll let you know how it turns out, but I hope I didn’t make a mistake going with this company, as they have a no refund policy…

Day of the week would usually be a weak excuse, but with the offer they put here, I’m sure they have been inundated with a lot of serious tech-heads who all want special treatment in one regard or another. Not surprised their support is a little behind the average response curve. At least they are keeping up though! I can’t find any other offers anywhere that give you more than 1 or 2 IPv4’s- not to mention native fully supported IPv6?

I would just like to say that having signed up for a VPS (LEB3) yesterday I am very happy with the service. I did initially have a problem with the IP’s I had been allocated but I raised a support ticket and the issue was resolved within an hour. I may have only needed their support once so far but the experience was excellent. As for connection speed I’m happy with that too (the benchmark result is below):

    CPU model : Genuine Intel(R) CPU @ 2.00GHz
    Number of cores : 3
    CPU frequency : 666.721 MHz
Total amount of ram : 2048 MB

Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 23.0MB/s
    I/O speed : 227 MB/s

Although it would be nice if the CPU speed was a little higher as has been mentioned here previously you get what you pay for and for the prices ServerHub charge the service is excellent. Highly recommended!

I was worried when many on this forum were complaining about Customer Service. But, I still went ahead and took one of their LEB3-X box as I was drawn towards those 6 IPv4s. I had raised a couple of tickets to their Support and the Customer Service was pretty good and fast. Excellent, I would say!

The VPS too seems good, but I am still playing around with it. It did reboot suddenly twice initially. I could assign one of those instances to the enabling of Disk quotas that I had requested. I believe that does require a reboot. The other one was initially when I just got the VPS and anyway, its been two days and I didn’t notice any other issues.

John — Tried to order, but “MaxMind” shut me down. Apparently the MaxMind service flagged my order as “fraudulent” since my phone number area code is not associated with my business zip code (the area code is for a neighboring city, I don’t live at my brick-and-mortar place of business). It also flagged me because my email (not by EXACT email, but ‘*@gmail.com’) is linked to “fraud”. Silly. Worse yet, the person on live-chat shrugged it all off as no-business as usual, and directed me to email billing@serverhub.com to get it cleared up. Had the live rep been able to process the order, you would have a new customer. I hope you don’t pay for either service. Waste of time and worst VPS ordering experience to date.

    • Overall I have been happy but right now my VPS in Dallas has been down for 42.5 hours now and counting. I have lodged a ticket and have had 2 responses to it in the last 42.5 hours, both saying they are looking into it.
      Very disappointed at the moment.

I’m very disappointed in ServerHub; I hired a VPS from because of the IPv6 connectivity, which worked great. However, their IPv6 connectivity has now been down since their planned maintenance on 10/12/2013.

I have sent them a lot of mails, and they promised again and again IPv6 would be back ‘soon’ and their senior engineers are working on it.

However, after 3 weeks still no IPv6

Really a very good provider. Passed one year and i’m very happy using their VPS. Migration from other provider used to serverhub was a really good choice. For me tickets was fast solved and in a very professional manner. And the most important for me was service stability and with downtime on scheduled maintenance events only.

Currently i use other providers as well but this is probably one of the best. Don’t know if i was just lucky – but i’am very satisfied with service provided.

  57. I’ve spent the last five days trying to order a $12 one-month plan and they are asking me the most ridiculous questions to verify me and I’ve already sent all kinds of documents, signatures, pictures, bank statements, driver’s license, passport, card details etc. And they still want more documents! I’ll be interested to see how this ends. If I get past the bouncer I’ll definitely have earned my one month of service lol!
