Why would someone buy this kind of Atom from you in this price, when in the competition (not to mention the reliability of the DC) the same or better configuration costs half the price or lower, plus unmetered bandwidth? And you call this… “clearance”? A 7 year old cpu (E3) with a single drive and just 8GB memory for 50$ is not a bargain but a steal…

  3. Alex:

To be fair, that atom is a fairly recent CPU w/ 8 threads. However I have to agree, the word clearance is (mis)used here as a marketing effort.

  4. MKV:

It should be noted that the Atom CPU in the first offer is one of the faulty CPUS (C2308, C2338, C2350, C2358, C2508, C2518, C2530, C2538, C2550, C2558, C2718, C2730, C2738, C2750, C2758.) that have a severe bricking problem and will very probably refuse to boot at some point. More info here:

  8. Robert Winkelmann:

My experience with this company was one of the most horrible hosting experiences in 20 years. Price seemed good so I gave it a shot and could not get away from them quick enough. Constantly adding ‘fines’ on my bill left and right and completely ignored me when I got ‘fined’ for spamming when the spam was received BY me on the server hosted by them with the IP address as visible as it could get in the headers. Apparently because the spammer emailed me about my website and that got included in the spam report I got fined three times by this company for the same message. So in reality if I send spam out with someones website hosted at this company and then receive and report it I can get any of their customers fined. Then when I refused to pay it they decided to tack on late fees on top of all the other crap I should have never been charged for.

No joke here.. I went to WholesaleInternet and got a $10 server that works BETTER than what I had with this company. And I never see additional charges on my bill.

Simply the most horrible experience I have ever had in hosting. I only wish I had read reviews about this company before wasting my money.
