LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

Spacerich - $4.99 256MB OpenVZ VPS with Gbit Port

Spacerich Vinyas, the founder & developer at Spacerich has notified me via email on their latest offer on WHT. A little bit pricier than their German/Chicago VPS at $4.99/month, but at Softlayer’s Washington DC data center with Gbit port and lots more data. The full spec here:

  • 256MB guaranteed/384MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 2TB/month outbound data transfer + Unmetered inbound
  • Free SSL certificate
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Another low end provider selling their cheap VPS with terabytes of monthly data transfer (while I am still struggling to push more than 20GB on this VPS hosting Low End Box). Spacerich has been around for quite a while with mixed reviews on WHT.

  1. Just ordered a server from them. Setup was quickly, but i think support is a little slow. I have waited for over two hours now. Normally I get answers in 45 minutes from other providers.

I had a VPS on the unmetered germany server, but it was terrible. I tested the speed and it was about 10-100kbit/s.

Been using their earlier VPS offer based box and was very satisfied with the QoS. I ordered the latest server offer. Immediately after the setup, I had some integration issues from my side, raised a ticket and that was looked upon in an acceptable time frame.

Looks good to me as of now!

  6. I have to take back what I said before. Support answered all my requests within the expected time. And I really have to give up to their setup team. The setup took 50 seconds between I paid and until I got my access details. That’s the fastest I have seen by far!

@Attila Lucky you. Mine went as low as 200 bytes per second. I cancelled my account within a week with them. Actually, they wouldn’t even cancel the account for me. I got late invoice emails then my account was automatically suspended.

I was going to sign up with these guys a while back.. when I inquired about their service the initial response was quick.. but when I asked regarding when the unmetered plan would be available again.. they never bothered to respond.. I found that to be quite rude.

I was actually in the process of clicking checkout for their US server and thought maybe later they can move me to the unmetered plan when it becomes available, but if they don’t even have the courtesy to reply then I’ve already got a good impression of how their support will be.

  11. Not sure what your ticket number is/was. But, we don’t have a ticket open at this moment. Contact us back and we can work it out.

    Thanks.

    @Spacerich

This was back in May, a person by the name of Christoph B handled the ticket and the initial reply was quite quick, which was impressive.. but looking at the email again I actually inquired twice in regards to the unmetered server. No response from Christoph and the ticket status was automatically changed to closed the next day..

Definitely did not leave a good impression of your Co. Currently I’m not really looking to sign up for your services so there’s really not much to work out, but Thank you for the offer..

I tried their DE VPS before and it sucked. Server hangs all the time and I got at least 4 reboots (which is how they fix server problems) in a week without any notification from their side. Support is basically clueless, yeah try talk to Christoph B, you’ll see. Some ppl did mention that their US op suck less, well good luck with that, I’d just pass.

I am with Spacerich since March. There were several ups and downs regarding server load (Not uptime, which is great). I am getting more than what I pay for. Of course, this is not for newbies. You ask them wrong questions and they will lag you!
Decision is up to you but I have not tried Washington location yet.

Do you have a VPS with Spacerich? it seems your domain is hosted on their shared/reseller hosting. also your IP seems to resolve to Burstnet Technologies Inc.. is Spacerich with burstnet?

I have 2 vps plans at germany nodes. I have them since 2009. The plan which you are talking about (which I gave as link) is ofcourse is a reseller hosting account, which i bought in 2008. As I mentioned in my previous post, the service from spacerich meets MY requirements.
oh ya they have reseller hosting at bustnet, softlayer and now at 100tb? i dont know.

    That was 4 days ago.

I received no contact from this company.
As a result I now have a resolution open with paypal.

Their go between payment comany email: support@2co.com bounces

I will let you know if I get a refund.

  40. totally dissapointed:

Ok.. Aparently my refund will be turning up in my bank account 7-10 days..

But.. Look at what they said..

“A credit/refund has been issued on the following order.

    Sale: **********

Additional comments: Customer enjoyed the service so far but now asking for refund for no reason. Dishonest Customer. Please do not accept any more orders.”

So I’m dishonest? Hmmmm I paid for a service.. They never sent an email with any details.
Days and days they have my money for free. But when I complain about it and ask for a refund.

I am a dishonest customer? Hmmm Ok.. I get it.. Lol This is funny.

Its a joke right?? There is a guy gonna jump out and say.. Smile your on candid camera!!

  42. Between,
    Our General rule:

There could be only one reason to hold any order for more than 2 days- in case of: account not in good stand, failed to pass our internal fraud check automatically, maxmind fraud check.

In all other cases account is instantly activated and mails are sent out. Clicking on “My Emails” inside billing/client area should list all the e-mail sent out along with the timestamps.

The speed is not guaranteed so I can’t do anything really.. Jackk I think you’re just got lucky
