Via this WHT offer. Sweden Dedicated is a hosting company in — you guess it — Sweden! From its about page it looks like their HQ is situated in someone’s house (and let’s hope it’s not in the car port). They do have some cheap virtual servers to offer though. At 15 Euro/3 Month (~$6.79/month) you can order them with this link.
- 128MB memory
- 4GB storage
- 50GB/month data transfer
- Xen or VMware
Servers are in Stockholm in Sweden. On the WHT offer it explicitly said “… are perfect for torrenttrackers and seedboxes” so I guess that will also be the kind of customers they attract. Domain has been created for more than a year now, although it looks like the owner previously run Xema.nl which has been around a bit longer. Website was hosted on the same server as both DNS.

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
They claim to be based in Sweden, but their VAT number, bank account number and support phone number all point to the Netherlands.
Their servers are in Phonera Datacenter, so the servers atleast are located in Stockholm, this i can confirm.
@dne — indeed as I have posted that they used to run Xema.nl which now redirects to SwedenDedicated.
How do you attract a seedbox user at 50GB bandwidth a month!?
@ui: believe me, there are people wanting to do with dedicated/VPS server something other than downloading things from p2p 😉
Was thinking about trying them. But force you to take quarterly. Advertise on main comparison page that extra ip is only one euro and when you want to place order 6 euros per extra ip?! And you can’t choose between OS versions. i.e for Ubunutu only says Ubunutu with no version selection choice or choice of 23/64. So you would have to contact them beforehand to ask. Not easy to find anything tempting in Sweden.
no dmca?
I want to recommend glesys AB to the blog owner. A swedish VPS using OpenVZ with cheap packages and so far stable hosts. They most likely outsource the hosting because you can choose between NYC, Falkenberg (Sweden), Amsterdam and Frankfurt for your server location.
Good security in the web panel, I picked them because of problems with dreamhost. A bit limited features in the web panel when I signed up, for example password complexity was constricted by technical limitations…
I want to say, very unsound company owe me money for services, do not email or on the back of the phone. So where to put them? probably only in the bin …
We will give first priority for Quick support service of hosting related issues and after that should be well reputed hosting provider. We also not listen about this hosting in sweden.
These guys still seem to be up. Got myself a vps couple of months ago and so far all ok. They seem to run their own network now (as42237) which is part of icme limited based in the isle of man (cool construction though) which in turns owns? swedendedicated.com, or they merely use their network? no phone support but they reply fast to my emails and network is stable, fast and has some nice uplinks from what i can see.
You can check atalnetworks plans.
