    STAY AWAY!

I ordered Plan 2 on Friday 28. August and I’ve still not received my VPS IP or Login / Password.

I got a message that it would take up to 12 hours before it got activated, but after waiting until Sunday and my order status still said PENDING I opened a ticket & said I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund as I wasn’t satisfied with the service.

    I then got a mail:

We are excited to let you know that your ECS instance with TheStack is now all set to go!
You can now go to the Portal and enter the product details page, at there you will find the following information for your instance:
    •IP address, gateway, and netmask
    •Initial login password
    [/Pre]

When I logged in to the ‘Client Area’ my status had been updated from Pending to Active

    [New] VM-SOPHOMORE STACK-2020828-93] [$25.00 USD •Annually] [•28th August 2021] [•Active]
    [/pre]
But when when I click on to the VM-SOPHOMORE STACK link I only get this message:

    [pre]
(Suspend Reason: ). Please contact the support department for the details.
    [/pre]

I’ve opened another ticket and asked why I haven’t got a reply from my previous ticket, or why there’s no IP , No login or password. I also said that I still wanted my service terminated and my money refunded and that I would give him 12 hours before I’d post a review of my experience.

It has now gone 29 hours since I opened my last ticket.
I can see that my first ticket is closed without getting any answer (I got that email) and that my second one is still opened, although I’ve not heard anything back from him.

If there’s a “huge problem” for him to refund my money, why not give me the IP to the VPS with a Login/Pass or/and at least give me some kind of response.
I’ve only seen some automatic e-mail about payment confirmation and the last one that I quoted here.

    Please stay away!

Don’t bother with TheStack. They changed the plan that I was subscribed to , the day after the order. Then after I disputed, they promised a refund. Afterwards ghosted me for a few months, while I contacted them daily.

I had to do a chargeback to get my money back

I’ve used TheStack for Plan 2 VPS for the past year.
Only issue I’ve had is their Ubuntu ISOs maybe did not have the correct drivers for out-of-the-box internet access. Had to install 16.04 and then upgrade to get it to work. The support staff was pretty helpful throughout the process.
Debian Buster worked immediately though. Can’t complain for the price.
