Via this WHT offer. TheVPSNode — based in Australia from its WHOIS record and domain registered for more than 6 months now. However its current website is going through facelift so not much other info you can gather from it. Here is the package that they offer at $5.95/month:
- 512MB guaranteed/1024MB burstable memory
- 20GB storage
- 1000GB/month data transfer
- 2 IP addresses
- OpenVZ/vePortal
Okay. It does not really say where the servers are located. The website’s IP goes to WebNX in LA, but all its NS are in UK. However for $5.95 with that spec, readers of this blog should be immediately alerted with BURSTNET RESELLER in their head. Well. Good luck with reselling the service (provides there is any value-add), but I think it would be hard to compete against BurstNET themselves when the pricing and packages are exactly the same.

@Mike — ha! Very good pick up!
Definitely this is a scam.
I found this only after paying them for a VPS. The VPS haven`t been provisioned even after 2 days, no response to support tickets…no phone pick-up…nothing.
I’m not surprised if they are reselling Burst.net. I have ordered directly from Burst.net and they never set up my VPS either until I contacted them to cancel my order. Burst.net also never responds to support tickets.
@Bert White – Completely untrue & an outright lie! We delivered your service 6 hours after you ordered it…and have the logs to prove it. You can check in your billing account with us to verify this…it is clearly displayed there. We respond to each and every support ticket as well. We are in business early 20 years, with over 10,000 clients, and thousands of VPS sold—I assure your we are hones and provide what we offer/sell.
@ BurstNET – 20 years? I thought Burst was est. ’98.
@Mudel – Established 1991
Completely off topic but I don’t know of many web designers who only charge $30 an hour.
