Another new host on the block via this WHT offer. VerdictSolutions has some cheap OpenVZ VPS plans, although you have to prepay it for 6 months or 12 months. For $30 /6months ($5/month), you can get the following VPS on the OpenVZ/HyperVM platform.
- 400MB guaranteed/600MB burstable memory
- 10GB storage
- 250GB/month data transfer
- 2x IP addresses
You can also save a little bit more if you prepay for 12 months — although I doubt that $5/year saving is worthwhile consider the domain name of this company has only been registered for a bit more than a week. The servers are hosted in “Pennsylvania, USA”, which I guess would be with BurstNET at Scranton PA.
Also not sure about that koala + spiderweb logo they’ve got, which would make you think that they are somehow connected to Australia, or more specifically, this web hosting company. However from their “About Page”, the managing director signed with “San Jose, California”. Huh?

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
Thanks for your comments, I can correct some information about this, I company is currently in pre-launch now whilst you should not experience any problems with your service there are some or little documentation and some cosmetic issues that we are dealing with.
The Company Operations is located in San Jose, California However we have Data Centers in Pennsylvania, Melbourne Australia and Brisbane Australia.
And yes webhostingaustralia is part of our operations, which has been in business since 2001.
The domain name has only been registered for a week as we have only been in operations for a week. Please if you have any questions feel free to email us sales@verdictsolutions.net or Hope on Live chat when available.
No problem. Just that when I saw that logo, I was thinking — hey I saw that somewhere before…
Well, looks like http://www.verdictsolutions.com/ is down while http://www.verdictsolutions.net/ redirects to Host Gator.
As the Managing Director of Web Hosts Australia (www.webhostsaustralia.com.au) and Dedicated Servers Australia (www.dedicatedserversaustralia.com.au)I would like to set the record straight
It appears the design and content including the logo, layout, navigation, about us text and other content were taken directly from the Dedicated Servers Australia site and used as a direct copy into the their site. The first we knew about this was a couple of days ago. I contacted someone from verdict and informed them to take down the site immediately which was done in around an hour. I also instructed them to remove all content and images which had been stolen from our site
They did this and also claimed complete ignorance of what had happened and blamed their US design company for the identity theft. Now it is a big internet and on the basis of the fact our images and content were immediately removed led me to accept this and consider the matter closed
What prompts me to comment further is the quote at the beginning of these comments of
“The Company Operations is located in San Jose, California However we have Data Centers in Pennsylvania, Melbourne Australia and Brisbane Australia.
And yes webhostingaustralia is part of our operations, which has been in business since 2001.”
It is Dedicated Servers Australia and Web Hosts Australia who have servers in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in fact and not verdict. Web Hosts Australia, one of the oldest and continuously owned private hosting companies in Australia has been running under my ownership and control since 2001 and is most definitely NOT in any way related to verdict and the implication it is “part of their operations” is simply offensive
Angus Thomson
Managing Director – Web Hosts Australia and Dedicated Servers Australia
@Angus — thank you for setting the record straight, and it pretty much explains why their website is now redirecting to HostGator.
Now go to the webhostingtalk thread for more lies from the guy :P
No particular reason for going to HostGator? Yet it is redirecting to HostGator’s affiliation program with id=hello6000. Hopefully no one has been scammed for the yearly payments.
