Natalia from VMotion IT Solutions emailed me about their low end VPS plan which they have recently launched at CitrixXenVPS.com. Their Micro VPS plan is €3.50/month (~USD$4.75), which you can order using this direct link. It comes with
- 256MB memory
- 10GB storage on RAID1
- 100GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
- 1 vCPU
- Citrix XenSevrer
Do note that Citrix XenServer is a bit like Xen HVM which allows you to boot into alternate OS, however it seems only CentOS and Debian are offered. Payment in either PayPal or credit card. VMotion colo their servers with Cork Internet eXchange. You can use their website’s IP address (91.103.0.54) for traceroute test. AUP here, and is certainly more oriented towards shared hosting rather than VPS. VMotionIT was founded late last October as a registered company in Ireland, but they have only recently launched the CitrixXenVPS brand, as earliest reference I could find was this WHT post and this tweet from last week. They might have been providing Xen VPS as early as June though under the VMotionIT brand (ref: their VPS forum). It’s owner, Indresh, certainly looks like having quite a bit of experience.
Update — they have sold out all the €3.50 servers. Their new servers are on RAID10 with a more expensive price tag: €4.25/month.

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
Nice offer. Also very good ping. 22ms from my location ( In UK)
I am wondering whether there’s any advantage hosting in Ireland. Obviously for you it’s better to host in UK than in Ireland. No?
Not much difference. I actually get a better ping to Ireland than London… and London these days any cheap.
aint cheap*
Considering an European audience and datacenter-to-datacenter latency Ireland adds 10-20ms compared to London.
BTW their upstream providers are:
ASN Name
51% AS3257 Tinet SpA
42% AS34245 Magnet Networks
1% AS42090 Rapid Broadband Ltd
Legally irelands have some interesting laws that protect the publisher (cf wikileaks story)
Might be interesting to host there for that (?)
pings from Ireland however are higher than UK. at least for me
Indeed I can get better responses from Ireland, France, Netherlands and Germany than London at times from north east England
already out of stock so it seems.
new stock? signup is working again. but I’m not going to try them, already have 2 stable vps servers in the UK.
