VMPort - £4.35 384MB Xen VPS in Germany

VMPort Ashley from VMPort has been trying to get me to list their offers for quite a while. Well, their last posting in September didn’t go that well as there were way too much trolling in the comments, but I’ll see how it will go this time. They have recently launched their Budget Xen plans based in Germany with Equinix. The cheapest plan “XEN-Small” is currently sold for £4.45/month — which is just a bit over our USD$7/month listing threshold at the moment. So Ashley decided to offer LowEndBox readers a special discount — 10 pence off for life! Or 2.25% off recurring discount to make the Xen-Small plan £4.35/month (~USD$6.93). Use coupon code XEN10 to get that special discount, and it has

  • 384MB memory/384MB swap
  • 35GB storage
  • 300GB/month data transfer
  • 4x vCPU cores
  • Xen/SolusVM

PayPal is the only payment option. Equinix in Germany (test IP: 80.83.123.200). Ashley is based in UK, and VMPort has been running since June this year (previously boxSRV). If you are after OpenVZ VPS, VMPort is also offering 25% off recurring discount on their unmanaged OpenVZ VPS plans in either US, UK and DE locations.

The owner himself is one hell of a pathetic troll, so let the trolling begin!

    • We’ll see. The last one got pulled wasn’t entirely Ashley’s fault, but again this one will get removed if it’s getting out of control.

      • I can’t even remember what folks were complaining about previously but I do remember Ashley, who I guess is the owner, having some customer service issues with how he relates to people.

I’m not worrying about it though.

  2. Thanks for the listing LEA!

Yes the previous thread was a mess which was partly my fault for generally just not taking a moment to think about what i wrote, maybe i need to stay on the back end of things and leave it to one of the others to deal with public relations :)

Looking forward to changing peoples opinions, all the best

  3. Just a few other things..

The openVZ plans can be found @ the home page and not the link listed since we recently moved everything into a nice table on the home page.

LOWENDBOX is the promotion code for 25% off any of our OpenVZ plans in the UK/US/DE, as always the promotion is for the life of the account.

All the XEN vps’billing cycle are:
    £(15/7.65/4.45)GBP Monthly
    £26.70GBP Semi-Annually + £-1.00GBP Setup Fee

Does that mean if I pay semi-annually, all the XEN plans are the same price?

    • If you would have kept it to yourself then yes :P

Appologies, its because we duplicated the products and missed the semi-annual price in the pricing options. All taken care of now.

      @joh
Which product were you trying to use the promotion code for, its working for me?

  6. My apologies, I forgot to update my website info here on leb. We’re temporarily using a .info as we had issues with the .co – We’re purchasing .org and planning on using that permanently though. Its a shame the .com and .co.uk owners won’t sell to us.
