Clicking the order link shows 1GB OpenVZ VPS, not 1.5GB – is the rest vSwap?

    RAID?

SSD? (mentioned in product code, but not mentioned anywhere else)

    DC?

    Carriers?

In the offer is states port speed is 1GBit, but is missing the detail that per VPS speed seems to be limited to 25Mbps as per https://vpscorner.co.uk/openvz.php ?

    • Hi Craig,

Sorry it should be “OpenVZ – 1GB OpenVZ VPS”, the above name was a copy and paste mistake on my behalf. 25MBps is the correct value, I’m told via ticket they have recently swapped it.

So how about updating the post? Right now it says “1.5GB”, “1GB”, “1536MB”.

        • We were told by them “ALso the package has been modified Ram is now 1.5GB Not 1GB “. 1.5GB is the correct value AFAIK.

Does not change the fact that the post is still in two minds about the RAM value, twice it mentions 1.5 GB, and once 1 GB.

        • The VPS have dedicated RAM + Burstable RAM and that is why there is two values.

Moldova is quite an interesting station for your VPSes if I say so. I want something that allows IRC though– your TOS is a downer. None the less, very interesting choice of server location! Best of luck! :)

HI Shivanthi, We are currently redoing the TOS.

I can confirm we do allow IRC and Warez Linking.

I will have the TOS amended ASAP as a priority.

  6. Shivanthi, We have now modified the TOS with the correct information, Sorry about it displaying warez wasn’t allowed this was due to mis-communication between staff about the actual TOS policy.

All has been fixed now, Hope it didn’t put people off, Our little mistake we hold our hands up to it.

      • Nagib i agree, We get questions like this but we will try an install some things for a user, however im sure kunal can understand, We can’t take hours on setting up someones vps for them exactly as they want, For a $5 vps. It just wouldn’t be a viable business practice anyone would agree.

  10. Hello All,

Just to clarify some points for people:

    – We will assist with installing most scripts/software/panels
    – We can install a custom image and have ubuntu/centos/debian + secured ubuntu + a gui ubuntu with vnc
    – The reason that the RAM values differ is because they have xyz dedicated ram + xyz burstable ram

Any issues, please open a support ticket as we are here to help and make things as easy as possible.

The VPS are unmanaged but as mentioned we will help where we can.

We are constantly taking suggestions so if you would like to see something that others don’t offer or that meets your requirements to a tailored expectation please open a support ticket.

To clarify about IRC/VPN/Warez we operate within the law and will stick to the law. We have excellent law advice and allow IRC/VPN as they are not illegal. Warez linking is also legal within the United Kingdom.

    Kind Regards,

    Luke – VPSCorner Limited

Their support is very friendly and helpful.
They even provided me extra bandwidth (500 GB) for free because they allocated new IP adresses and I had to wait two or three hours until I could order something.
But something I’d like to criticize is their network speed,it isn’t that bad but also not very good for a 100Mbit connection:

    • You are expecting 100MB speed for your vps, We state clearly 20 VPS per node an 100mb line per node dedicated, SO each server should have around 5mb download.

Downloading files from a u.s mirror at 2mb/s isn’t that bad considering. Its alot more speed than a overloaded host would offer, We are soon to deploy some servers with gb lines however currently working out a price breakdown to bring 1gbps nodes into play without hiking costs.

      March 19, 2013 @ 7:10 pm | Reply
    • Yes we issued extra bandwidth as we had to delay some orders for a few hours due to increased demand for extra ips an we didn’t allocate enough ips per node, Which we increased an all back ok an we shouldn’t run into that issue again.

    • Thanks for feedback, Ipv6 was a concern but we never actually took time to implement until requested, We did run into issues with few configurations where It was resolving ipv6 correctly but wasn’t allowing packets to send or receive, We fixed that pretty swiftly it was an oversight when we implemented ipv6 we forgot to allow packet forwarding to the vps container.

Thanks to your request to implement ipv6 and our datacenters swift assigning of blocks, We are now deploying Ipv6 ip’s with all VPS’s automatically upon initial set-up on ALL nodes.

this site is fraud , i get vps from them the first 2 days was not working and they change the vps with a new one , i don’t use it when i try to use it after 15 days i found it suspended i make a ticket they tell me that it have ddos attacks , they are really fraud .

    May 17, 2013 @ 1:28 pm | Reply
    • First of all, we are stunned at your claim that you were with us 15 days when you were in reality only with us a few days, which can be, confirmed where you state that it didn’t work for the first two days. In reality you were ddosing for the first two days and it got suspended on day three when you asked to be unsuspended (so how it went for 15 days with being suspended is surprising considering suspended users are either automatically cancelled or unsuspended depending on the suspension reason – clear constant abuse would be cancelled – which yours falls under) and would be and would 100% be before the 15 days you claim.

The server was pushing 15,000 packets per second with no valid website or anything to explain the high usage. The system auto-suspended and the first contact by the customer to us (VPSCorner) was allegations of fraud and we then re-activated the service of the customer within 5 minutes regarding It being down. The user then continued to complain by claiming that the VPS was still fraud due to the fact he claimed as being “my files are missing” which naturally as a VPS provider is a concern so we immediately investigate. After we (VPSCorner) checked the logs and discovered that during the time the server was suspended the user issued multiple reinstalls in an attempt to get the server to boot which clearly results in a loss of files. When a VPS reinstalls it wipes the existing VPS and places the new image on the VPS system removing anything that was there previously.

The user reinstalling the VPS multiple times and then claiming that their files are not on the VPS is a sufficient signal to indicate that the user is not familiar with how SOLUSVM works and instead opted to blame someone else. The user then after the previous text continued to insult us via tickets which explained to us from his point of view “ I don’t have to justify reinstalling to you” which is a clear confirmation they did what we stated previously which is reinstall the operating system resulting in a loss of files.

We suspect that the user although potentially familiar with centos and linux in general is not infact familiar with running a VPS in general. To avoid future problems we issued the user with a full refund partly because of the issue that had occurred (suspension) but also because of the fact we knew this user had the potential to affect other users in terms of our time (VPSCorner).

VPSCorner should probably mention at this stage that we have logs of two I.P addresses that you attempted to flood with packets (which we haven’t disclosed) but we have privately contacted the effected ISP (to primarily explain that the abuse has ceased as it caused lots of downtime for their clients). To strenghthen our point further, we do not tolerate abuse of our network at all. VPSCorner also aims to provide quality and rapid customer service at all times. VPSCorner does have it’s issues time to time (none that affect clients) but in this case we are not to blame at all we have simply pointed out the flaw in the customers argument.

Your attempt to reinstall was actually a coverup the activity that actually took place on your VPS but unfortunately for you, we received an alert and decided to check the VPS for abuse and noticed that within 2hrs of paying the user had started launching DDoS attacks. The simple fact that the VPS was abused within 2hrs is just completely ridiculous as the person you’re saying must of done it would of needed access to your details such as username, password (this is emailed to you) which is the case in this instance as the user was actually using the VPS within 2 minutes of paying and as mentioned attacks started after two hours.

All existing clients would vouch for our support and service. We probably do have issues as any host does such as accidentally suspending someone or misjudging something but in this case the user was 100% attempting to abuse the VPSCorner network and then proceeded to ‘demand’ services in exchange for the damage caused by the user (the DDoS attack they launched for example). No host would permit you to DDoS if they knew you were doing it.

After we stopped the abuse you were causing we reveived a threat from you to post malicious comments comments if we didn’t unsuspend (we actually refunded by this point).

Any user can see based on this long reply that the user was in the wrong and we would not disk the name of VPSCorner for the sake of a few dollars from one user. You spend thousands building a business not a few dolars bringing it down. We partly find this comment promotional as we know potential customers that know a good hosting company when they see one will search reviews on the company only to see a complaint and then feel obliged to read our response.

In a final statement we would like to again mention that we are here to help as always and state that we do not permit abuse but we do permit anything that is legal.

        • > You actively used the VPS to DDoS (we have logs and as mentioned have told the ISP, they will take action if they feel necessary)
          > What reason would we have for suspending you other than abuse…if we let you stay we get money….
          > We wouldn’t risk a business by ‘ripping off’ or ‘scamming’ someone for $1.75…. that’s just crazy.
          > You couldn’t boot because it was suspended…
          > You tried reinstalling the OS because it wouldn’t boot which wiped the files but you couldnt actually boot due to suspension
          > You asked us and we told you why, because you were DDoSing
          > We banned your I.P as you’re not welcome at VPSCorner at all. We don’t tolerate abuse and we don’t tolerate threats.

To clarify as well, we didn’t accuse you of being unexperienced as such we were trying to point out the fact that you didn’t use Solus properly and reinstalled your VPS trying to fix etc. Please feel free to buy from another host, we don’t really care because we get plenty of business as it is. Most hosts probably won’t even detect your DDoS, we use various scripts to automatically flag it and we monitor packets at an industry standard level and investigate each abuse case thoroughly.

        • We won’t be posting any further updates. To clarify as a final post though, the user was actually refunded before all of this kicked off and we had to go through the hassle of checking logs and informing the targeted isp. The fact that he’s calling us a scam is to be honest completely hilarious, keeping the above factors in mind. What kind of criminal mastermind scams someone by suspending them for abuse, refunding them the full amount paid and then spend their own time and money replying to threads and checking logs. Time is money and unfortunately for us this user has cost us 50x in time/money then the $1.75 we gained from him which we refunded anyway.
