  1. +1 for these folks having a community forum. As much as I put those scum sucking, lesser than a snake belly, my ex mother in law is more ethical than these folks, ev1/theplanet, I learned a lot in their support forums.

Oh, and that’s Portland, Oregon. Portland, Maine has a couple datacenters as well. Had my hopes up when I saw that.

    • Just changed it be more explicit about the Portland in Oregon. I thought it’s obvious — when you Google “portland” it’s pretty much all about the one in Oregon

      • What’s strange is when I google Portland, I get comparisons between Portland and Charlotte, NC, where I currently live. And Portland is listed as well as Portland Texas. We don’t talk about Portland Texas though.

I’m from Maine. When I think of Portland, I think Portland Maine. You know. L.L.Bean land.

But still +1 for the forum. I thing that’s a big help. Actually looks fairly active.

    • Hey there!

We’re currently not out of stock, however we’re receiving a very high volume of orders right now and are manually processing them on our new & upgraded hardware that was setup just yesterday. Please know because we’re not instantly activating them just for this short period, we’re crediting all orders with an additional 5 free billing days.

Also please note, if you choose to subscribe to our services (via Paypal subscription) the $2 will be credited to your account and not taken off the first month of service. If you pay the invoice separately, it will be $3.95 your first month :)

24 hours and still waiting for the VPS. The sad thing is I found out they have “very high volume of orders” only after I paid.
I ordered because a saw “instant activation” and I neded asap. Not a good start I guess ;)

  4. So sorry for the delays, we ordered our new machines on Friday but our DC doesn’t do anything during the weekends, so today’s their “first” provisioning day. We’re working hard to get everyone online today which is Monday, the first business day after a major Holiday. I was the only one on shift over the weekend as well, as it was Christmas.

Nonetheless, I thank everyone for their orders and look forward to a long term relationship with each and every clients :)

    • our DC doesn’t do anything during the weekends

      *sigh* Sounds familiar….

With the one I;m in, the regular techs work during the week. On the weekends, we burn through our peer agreement support time and the datacenter techs are on call for emergencies. When it’s my turn, I spend half of it pushing a broom around and reboot requests.

  5. I just bought their vps package.
It is almost instant when i got my package.
    Many installation quite fast.
The only thing i don’t get is why the ram shows as 250mb in use when i have even not uploaded my websites on the server.
    Kind of freaky though.
Will have to ask the host.

    • Hey there,

The operating system will typically use anywhere from 10-20MB, and any control panels such as Kloxo can use anywhere from 200MB-300MB on idle (Apache, MySQL, etc). Typically when I check our host machine’s ram, they’re about 50% used, almost never more (unless someone is using burst ram).

Please know because we are able to get great prices on bandwidth and equipment, we can extremely undersell our host machines allowing clients room for expansion.

@ravindra, if you’re still experiencing issues do not hesitate to start a support ticket! There’s someone always in our office answer emails, tickets, calls, etc :)

Have a great day! & have a Happy New Years!

      • Actually saying i have managed to get why the load is there.
No problem for me till now.
        Site loads better,good connectivity.
I think they should provide the management support so many people like me can live with them forever.
        But it’s still great.
I am having another vps from another provider(bad as site goes always down,i don’t want to tell name) but really saying this host is much better.
If i get some coupon for this host then will surely pay for whole year.

Well I wasn’t impressed but it may well have been a dodgy template (smelled like that); no time to mess about ticketing right from the start so I bailed.

I’ll say this for Camron though, refunded my buck lickety splick so cheers for that :D

Now what am I going to spend my whole 64 new pennies on?

is anyone who has portland or node 27 server also down??
        this is the ticket reply:
We are aware of the problems occurring in our Portland datacenter.
Your VPS will be able to boot as per normal once we have found a resolution.

We apologize for any inconvenience this downtime may have caused.
they also don’t know what’s going on there

        • We’re definitely not experiencing any issues with our nodes – I’m not sure where you got that reply, but we’re not having any issues with our hardware in our Portland facility at this time. If you’re having VPS issues, it’s localized and you’ll need to submit a ticket requesting us to investigate the issue.

Thanks so much for your continued business!

I have a VPS with VPSFuze in Oregon. The CPU is superb. The HD was great for OpenVZ but the IOWAIT started to creep up.

The main downside was the packet loss. I measured packet losses of 0.3-1% all day, and at times it was high enough to cause network disruption. It still happened after I moved to another node and Camron swapped a router. I believe it might be Hurricane Electric’s fault, but it is impossible for a bystander with just traceroute to tell.

  14. DSN Customer:

The issue is Directspace. VPSFuze doesn’t get a direct HE drop. I have VPS’s in multiple HE locations and have no packet loss. I’m not sure what you expect when Directspace is selling “100TB bandwidth” plans when they have a single 1Gbit line with HE. Don’t believe me? do a traceroute from each of their supposed backbones.

What the heck is going on? I ordered some VPS service with Fuze because they say they have instant set up and offered a preconfigured Gnome VNC package for a little extra money. So I signed up with them this past weekend. The information that came did not reference any way to logon to a VNC session (other hosts like DME have special URL’s you have to follow to login to the remote desktop session via a browser). I tried connecting directly using ARD, TightVNC, Chicken of the VNC and RealVNC. All of them said “connection refused”. I asked the support person and they said “standby while I look that up” then never got back to me. Here’s the support ticket:

Where’s the VM login for Gnome?

    Dear Jason,

I am looking into this. Please standby for further updates.

    OK thank you!

I saw the serial console login but not the VM one. I’ve tried Apple Remote Desktop, Chicken of the VNC, and VNC Viewer. No luck

    Jason || Client 03/06/2012 04:17
… please don’t forget about me… it’s 2 days since I signed up and I’ve never been able to connect (to VNC)….

Thanks! Once this gets working I’m sure it will be great (and I’ll probably upgrade the RAM too). I just hope it’s really really soon…
