LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

WaveCom - Estonian KVM VPS starting at $56/year - in Tallinn, Estonia

Ranko from WaveCom sent us an offer recently. WaveCom has been operating since 2001 and offer services in their facility in Tallinn, Estonia. They have focused mostly on dedicated servers and colocation options in the past but as of 2012 have focused their main development to cloud services. They’ve told us they’ve done some pretty cool stuff in the telecommunications industry which you can find out more about here. They’re a registered Business in Estonia(Registration Number 10756058) and accept most major credit cards, PayPal and Bank transfers as payment methods.

They’ve told us they use HP hardware and SAS drives in a RAID10 array but you should still always take backups yourself – If you’re using Ubuntu we have a nice tutorial on How to backup your Ubuntu VPS to DropBox here and as always we encourage all users to read their Terms of Service prior to sign up.

I do not recommend this service. The owner will disable your server without explanation. It can also demand money for activation.

    • That will happend everywhere if you take down service from all others vps customers.
Its massive AUP violation. If you are warned so multiple times before and did´nt study anything – there is no other way to protect others customers

        Of course you are right.
But previous situation was in the summer 2015. And the owner wanted to take the money for re-activated my vps. Nobody said about it before. I read https://clients.wavecom.ee/page/aup—acceptable-use-policy/ but not found info about 35 euro (see ticket screenshot).
Finally, I made a conclusion for myself. By the way, I have been a client since 2013.

        • For some services like national domains or voip there is goverment regulations identify user by bank transfer or verified paypal transfer. If you fail make first payment from account with same name such service cannot be opened. But for vps, dedi or colo we only require that customer dont have previous bad history with us or any other service provider.

So you really have no idea what caused such a huge load inside your VPS that it choked the other machines on your node and made them suspend your account?
It’s confusing for an outsider–are they being unreasonable or are you causing them problems?

I had problems with them in May. I ordered a windows VPS and it rebooted every 2 hours. Asked for refund in less than 24 hours after order. Got response after 2 weeks and only got half a refund because according to them I was using the VPS for 2 weeks and thus I need to pay for it. Don’t recommend.
