You can never have enough storage.  Whether it’s backups, application storage, or your personal NextCloud, it’s easy to chew up storage quickly.  One of my favorite market niches is the storage VPS, where providers give you big disk and just enough CPU and RAM to power an endpoint.  You wouldn’t run a massive database on them, but as a destination for rclone or BorgBackup, they’re fantastic.

What’s really great in our community is that you can often get these kinds of storage VPSes for much lower than you would if you went and bought disk on Google Drive, BackBlaze B2, etc.  And forget DigitalOcean or the big providers.  The price of their storage there is eye-watering.  Granted, they’re providing NVMe storage, but that’s kind of the point.  Your backups don’t need blazing performance.  They just need space.
