ZazoomVPS - $7 512MB KVM VPS in Scranton

Updated December 2011 — Daniel has sold the VPS hosting business in September but the website has gone offline since 24 November 2011, as the new owner hasn’t been paying the bill.

ZazoomVPS Daniel, yes this Daniel, emailed me about this new KVM VPS business that he is starting — ZazoomVPS. Cheapest plan is $7/month, moreover Daniel has thrown in some extra disk space and bandwidth. Use this link to order their “KVM512LEB” special package.

  • 512MB memory/512MB swap
  • 30GB storage
  • 2TB/month data transfer
  • KVM/SolusVM

Servers in Scranton with BurstNet (test IP: 66.96.192.92). Daniel also runs a Minecraft server hosting company, ran a failed low end VPS provider before. Domain registered in April this year.

  1. I think “Minecaft server” should be “Minecraft server”.

16 years old and ran a failed company.

      Yeah, think I’ll avoid. :)

Ugh, smellysausages@me.com and an invalid phone number. Sounds fishy.

        • That actually appears to be an issue with name-cheap handling the UK number in US style on their registrant information. If it makes you feel any better I’ve corrected it, you can check.

Oh and I sold the Minecraft Company (ClubMinecraft), which managed over 100 Minecraft Servers, as well at my Minecraft Server platform which just hit the 800 server mark. I don’t see that as a failure.

I’ve left school, so I am fully committed to putting the time and effort into ZazoomVPS. We are not going anywhere anytime soon.

Name is very close to http://www.zazoovps.com/
They all related to http://www.hostsign.co.uk/ ?

      • I actually brought that domain a while ago as a sorta place all my VPS nodes I started buying for ClubMinecraft, however when HostSign took over the domain went with it.

So I am no longer affiliated with the ZazooVPS, ClubMinecraft or HostSign.

Looks like there’s a page of OpenVZ offerings, which goes down to 128MB at $3/month.

    • If you submit a ticket with the specs you want, I’m sure we can work out a custom plan.

OpenVZ is out of stock at the moment but we plan on having more stock at the end of the week. Also setup is instant on every single order apart from DA and cPanel licenses.

I just bought a vps and according to vnc, looks like the image of the OS didn’t load. And didn’t get any welcome emails. Still some bugs to work out. Good luck with the VPS company!!!! I was thinking of starting one myself, but to run a good one takes some effort =]

What ISO are you using? Some of them installed are beta.

You can see emails via the My Emails section of the client Center, just incase you missed one.

Ahh didn’t know about the my email link! I just clicked on the link to order the vps via the ad. I didn’t know if you meant the user to go to the vps page and mount the OS they wanted or not. If so then i guess it’s working as intended =]

Thanks for the super quick reply!

    So does the
“We currently do not allow IRC or IRC bots to be operated on our servers. ”
Mean that we CAN have an irc client?

      No IRC altogether, sorry.

The servers are not BurstNet LEA, they’re VolumeDrive, same location but different systems.

    • Daniel @ LowEndTalk:

VolumeDrive rent a room at burst. It’s just easier to say BurstNET because then people get an idea of the network and how good their connection is to it.

Many other providers on this blog that I can say do the same.

Except it’s important to mention it in this case, as volumedrive used to (not sure if it still does) cater towards some shady operations and many of the IPS are blacklisted on different lists.

So they run VPS on just one disk??

I see no custom option while ordering a server – http://volumedrive.com/dedicated/
