Use Mandrill, mate. If you’re really not spamming you will have no problem using them. Free for the first 12k mails/month; if you send more than this, you should be generating enough money to cover the cost.

Only 512GB transfer? That seems a bit low for a 2GB/2CPU/dual-gig box.

Do you make any exceptions for game/voice servers? I’m looking to host a small TeamSpeak 3 server (less than 10 people) and various small game servers that would not be open to the public. They’re mainly for my wife and myself, but occasionally a few friends (once again less than 10 people).

      Hi Andrew,

I am sorry but we do not allow game servers on this brands.
We will start testing our new brand Frag101 dedicated to game servers only.

      Thank you

  16. Looks like a good deal. I abandoned my cart after looking at the Terms of Service. Some day I’ll cancel the service and to do so requires filling out a paper form and mailing or FAX’ing it in six weeks before the end of the term. Too much extra management work – I haven’t even had a FAX machine for a decade. I can see how it might help with fraud, but I’ll stick with systems I can fully manage online.

Drserver is a very shady company. Took almost a week for them to activate my VPS. When I got it, I was immediately attacked by hundreds of servers, mostly based in China. Turns out the IPs they hand out are targets for SSH brute forcing. If you order from Drserver, don’t expect your server to be secure.

      Hi again Kale.
Why you just dont say true why did you get suspended and what was your last ticket reply.

I’ve had one of these boxes for a few weeks now to replace a KVM I’ve got elsewhere that gets very slow at times. I’m using the Windows Server 2008 R2 image that they have with my own genuine licence.

I got marked as fraud on ordering for some reason – was using all genuine details. A quick support ticket said my phone number had triggered a fraud block even though it was my real number formatted correctly. Soon resolved and I was able to order the service.

I was blown away by the speed and responsiveness of the server. RDP works like it’s a machine on my local network, even though I’m the other side of the Atlantic from it and on highest settings. I did expect some degradation of network and CPU speed over time as the node became full, but it is still highly responsive.

Support seems good, only had the need to raise one ticket, which was responded to in 6 minutes and resolved in 14.

Initial thoughts are this looks very good. Time will tell, but I am hopeful.
