Just wondering, why are you using aspects from a Payton designs site? The site was not designed by Payton and he did not give permission for these to be used?
I asked him about this a few months back, and forgot to post.
Hi Matthew, the explanation is easy. We first bought a design from Payton, but then we discovered that it was sold more then once. Because of that we decided to change the layout to something more unique and let a designer create a custom layout. Only parts of how the content is displayed inside the website is reused from our old template that we bought.
That would explain why payton didn’t remember designing it. Thanks for clearing it up for me and Payton, I will be sure to let him know.
If I had a PIN number, I could go to an ATM machine to withdraw some USD dollars… or I could just order myself a VPS server instead. :)
Hi, I would do the last ;)
Same Roel as in Quickweb?
Nah, don’t think so :D
Same name, different company ;)
Pretty good.
8 virtual processors?
Do you offer native ipv6 addresses with the VPS?
As of their last offer back in January, it was in testing:
http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/whynotavps-4-87-512mb-openvz-vps-in-germany/#comment-19861
So it could be working now :-)
Can anybody from WhyNotaVPS comment on this?
I’ve been hosting with them since their deal in January (went for the 768mb). So far everything has been good, it was more stable than my last VPS. I would recommend them.
For IPv6, to my knowledge they haven’t enabled it, though to be honest I haven’t really looked deep in the control panels to enable it lately. I took a quick look and don’t see any option yet.
Some interesting sites hosted on the same server as whynotavps.com…
I have some questions about that webpage.
How you do the reverse dns?
Also, if I buy a domain and I point it with my DNSs to that IP, it will show? If that is the case, then doesn’t imply that my domain is hosted in that IP.
But yeah, a lot of domains, some of them maybe were in that IP :|
AFAIK, it is like reverse lookup of phone numbers — you build your own indices internally by querying all those domains.
One used to work on a tool doing similar thing, and listen on Twitter’s public timeline to extract all the domains popping up there :P
haha.. this tool is fun ^_^
Hell yes. :)
Hi,
Those are not VPS clients, just other domains being hosted on the same webserver.
Hey I’m not one to judge but it may not be in the best interest of the company image to be on the same server with winners such as all4gays.net and bondage-girls.biz. Just sayin..
*shrug* Probably but hey, you’re the one who went looking for those sites. ;)
Sorry for stupid question, is it on 100Mbps ?
Hi Matej, each VPS has a 100mbit connection.
how it goes this vps? stable? fast? support good and quick?
Jose
Yes, it is much better than the most in Europe.
I am thinking of getting a second one.
Finally i will use whynotavps, seems to be a fast machine and nice speed.
Let’s try to use it and evaluate how it goes.
Jose
I’m disagree with the support service, i bought 1gb more of ram, but i can’t see working at my vps.
I have a few opened tickets without any answer, i just want to have 1gb more of ram, i have payed i just want that.
Jose
Might be helpful if you referenced the outstanding support tickets. I know most folks around here don’t understand that concept and I’ve asked LEA to put that right above the comment form in 96 pixel high flashing text. *sigh* Maybe some day….
Per a discussion on LET, they appear to be selling off their hardware:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1079602
And you are trying to alarm people by suggesting that they are getting out of the business by selling off some
old junk?
Not sure why you’re being negative. I just threw up a link since it was mentioned over on the other site.
If you have a problem with that, go complain at the folks discussing it:
http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/190/whynotavps.com
I realize that LEA could rename this site LetsTargetDrMike.com but there’s really no need for it.
Is the offer still available? It’s not showing $4.87 anymore
