Servers with PhoenixNAP in Phoenix AZ (test IP: 174.138.175.114). Erez also stated that they have their own servers, and have been offering hosting since 2006. WebHostingStuff on their website has shown some pretty poor availability around October 2010-January 2011. The website design is a bit, hmm, 90’s Classic. It’s main business seems to be reselling GoDaddy’s domain names.
Pricing has been misconfigured on the site — “VPS Server 1” says $1.99 but once you get into WHMCS ordering page it prompts $3.99. Their Terms of Service only covers refund and nothing at all regarding the service. Sitting on an older domain certainly does not give them any credibility as a hosting provider though, especially when you can’t find any info on WHT. I’ll give it a pass.

Horrid domain, and the site looks like it hasn’t changed since 1995. It’s a pain to navigate too.

Their “Compare Our Prices” icon drops you into their domain ordering form. I wonder if that’s on purpose or not.

Since when is WHT required to be a hosting company? Maybe they are smart to avoid WHT to cut down on the guttersniping by random people, the politics of the moderators and all the other foolishness.
Like it or not, it’s the biggest out there. You’d think someone would’ve recommended them or slated them at least.
That is why this website is here to give these people a chance rather than take jabs at them because we have preconceived bias of an unknown provider. It’s no different than a bunch of car enthusiasts talking about Chevy / Ford / Toyota being the best car.
We’d at least have heard of Ford/Toyota/Chevy. With so many good, proven providers out there, why take a chance on an unknown who is giving a pretty average deal?

I would call this as very reasonable good deal – atleast price/resources wise (as we don’t know anything about quality of their service yet).
Their website makes it look like they don’t care about the business.
Trust me, a company that wants customers, would at least have a decent website… Also, reselling godaddy’s domains isn’t the best way to go :x
Usually even pure-whmcs sites at LEB aren’t criticized that much :) Some $ less for package and most of you wouldn’t even see site anymore, a? :)

This way, they’ve obviously paid for a design, and it’s awful. Wasted money. Mind you, if they have gotten 15 years out of it, that’s VFM. ;)

As for your claim of “taking a risk”, waiting for a Paypal dispute to resolve which 99.9% generally works out in your favor, albeit takes awhile, but isn’t that much of a risk compared to in the real world.
The only “risk” you get is prepaying for a year and after 45 days, the provider takes all of your money since Paypal has no say in the matter anymore and closes down shop.
Of course, all of you know this.
I must have missed all those provider wins cases where, since it’s not physical goods, Paypal automatically sides with the provider per their policies.
Granted though it’s only a couple of bucks normally. Of course for some of us, that’s a couple of days worth of food.
Considering this comment and your other recent one, I have to wonder how familiar you are with this field and this site.
Happened to me with both my XVPS (Yomura) VPSes. Not physical goods, Paypal ruled in their favour.
i ordered small vps was setup within the hour
i installed everything i could stress tested worked well for 128mb ram
has control panel to reinstall like it should filled in a couple of tickets all got answered within the hour also, will try them again on a bigger package in the meer future
asked to be refunded and was with no issues yes site needs a new look service good support good price good
dont be mistaken by the poor looking site

I wouldn’t worry too much with what these people say on here. LEB is nothing more than an extension of gossip from WHT between a circle of gossiping Nancys, like what you would find at a beauty salon between cackling hens. If it’s not BuyVM, RamHost or QuickWeb – they will bat you down because they somehow feel like it’s competition against two of the mentioned companies who do not even keep stock but somehow make it as the top providers quarter after quarter.
Seriously? Criticizing how a site looks somehow makes it a “scam”? Look out prq.se, you may be losing customers by not having a site that looks good to the LEB crowd!
