FiberVolt - $18.75/Year 128MB OpenVZ VPS in Phoenix

FiberVolt Victor from FiberVolt emailed me earlier this week that they are setting up some new nodes at PhoenixNAP, and they have some promotions to help filling up those nodes. I think the most interesting one would be their 128 Volt annual plan, where coupon code newnodes25128 would get you 25% off recurring discount. That drops the price to $18.75/year for the following VPS:

  • 128MB guaranteed/256MB burstable memory
  • 15GB storage
  • 100GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Here is the direct sign up link. Only 50 is available. For other plans, here are other discount codes:

  • Coupon code newnodesquarterly gives you 1 month free on quarterly payment, i.e. 33% off recurring
  • Coupon code newnodes15 gives you 15% off recurring discount
  • Purchase any monthly plans to get triple diskspace/bandwidth. Open support ticket to request. I guess it does not apply to annual plan (128 Volt from above)

PayPal is the only allowed payment method. FiberVolt has been around since June 2010, founded by Alex in San Diego and Adam from Ireland. While their past offers have their servers in San Diego, this offer would apply to their new nodes in Phoenix AZ with PhoenixNAP.

    @Victor

I really like the ping response from my country (Malaysia) which around 213ms ~ 241ms which is great for me. The only downside is the bandwidth quota kinda low for me since i’m mostly would be on VPN stuff and was thinking if there’s any customization package for your VPS. I really don’t need 15GB space as a 5-6 GB space is enough for me. Do tell me if there’s such package and i’d like to evaluate it. Thanks

    • I take it you’re looking at the 128 Volt package. Currently you can use the triple disk/bandwidth coupon on that along with the 25% off coupon. This will bring your bandwidth up to 300 GBs. If you are still looking for a custom plan email me directly at abateman [at] fibervolt.com

      Thanks!

  12. Hi,

Quoted from our AUP “IRC is permitted on our servers. Please note that if you abuse the server and cause disruptions for other clients, your server may be suspended.”

Regarding the 128 Volt plan, this plan also has the triple disk/bandwidth deal that can go with the 25% Recurring promotion. However there are only 50 available for this.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Dear all,

This is by far the best provider i’ve been with. Great, fast and responsive support – i know because i’ve open 2 ticket with them and the response was amazing. I would recommend you guys with FibreVolt they rock! and they know their stuff. For Malaysian, this is where you want your hosting to be, nice ping and i’m on Screamyx!

Shouldn’t be too hard for you Malaysian to figure it out. Yeah we have up’s and down if TM cable suddenly broke down but you know the drill and the excuses. Nevertheless, i would recommend this provider – if it’s not too much, i would say that FibreVolt would soon to be the next Top Provider besides BuyVM and QuickWeb.

What error are you encountering? And what plan were you trying to order? If it’s the 128MB plan, it might be that we’re out of stock as we only had 50 in stock. Sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll look into this right away.
