NodePop are a new hosting company located in New Hampshire. They are a “small group of like minded individuals who currently serve a small client base of small to medium sized businesses”. Their servers are hosted on dual socket boards, with Xeon quad core L5420’s @ 2.5Ghz and 4x 450gig 15k SaS drives in raid 10. NodePop utilize Hurricane Electrics Tier I BGP routed internet backbone, which is the worlds largest IPv6 network, to service all of their equipment. HE use to be very popular amongst LEB hosts, but I don’t think we’ve listed a server located with them for a while.

NodePop currently only accept payments via paypal. They offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee, as well as a 7 day money back guarantee. Additional IPv4 addresses can be purchased for $2 each per month, but additional IPv6 are free. For more information, take a look at their Terms of Service and Acceptable Usage Policy (PDFs).

  5. IMHO the plans should come with more IPv6 by default. Yes, I know you can get more, but why not just include them and avoid the “more IPv6 tickets”. I can’t wait till the day when “more IPv6” is a button in SolusVM.

Other than that, these plans seem to be pretty decent, although I prefer to pay less than $5 for 512MB. The website is nice and clean, though the WHMCS is bland. Also, too many “smalls” in their self-description, while having no about page on their regular page. This host definitely has an air of “just got started”, but hopefully that will dissipate soon.

    • Speed test file is very slow, averages under 3MB/s from RamNode Seattle, less from RamNode Atlanta and BudgetVM Chicago. I actually bought one of this offer to test, though, and it gets regular 100Mbit speeds download. When I try to download the test file to it, then download it from another VPS, I get the same lousy speeds. Throttled outbound traffic? Full review to come on LET.

  6. Signup process doesnt email any confirmations and no details of how to log into solusVM.

Speeds seem rather slow as well and support tickets appear also to be slow in being answered.
