The long period of acquisitions and mergers of hosts that are in trouble seems to be over. Over the past two months or so, I have seen several hosts deadpool where they would have been saved by another company in the period before. So, it’s time for my first ever deadpool post!
TacticalVPS
Status: Server not found/website offline/nodes offline
TacticalVPS gained popularity quickly when they started. Ian offered some nice products and a good service. I even featured them on my first surprise post ever! But I’m afraid it wasn’t to last. At the end of May, messages began to surface about a node being offline. Shortly after, more nodes went offline. The rumor is that Ian’s wife died, though we have never heard from Ian himself. Currently, everything that was TacticalVPS seems to be unreachable and I have no faith it will be back up again soon.
LowEnd.co
Status: admitted to deadpooling/closing shop
WARNING: LowEnd.co’s website is still online and the owner was banned for suspicious activities from LowEndTalk. Please do not purchase from them, as you will most likely loose your service and not get your money back!
LowEnd.co was never featured on LowEndBox, but they were around a lot on LowEndTalk. The domain was registered in January 2014 by Michael Long and shortly after LowEnd.co opened up shop. After having some issues with another provider they were renting dedicated servers to, LowEnd put up a notice on their website claiming they deadpooled. It turned out that the owner and his business partner were very shady and have been dishonest to a lot of people. They were eventually banned for SCAM-like activities on LowEndTalk, so please use extreme caution when dealing with these people.
RaidLogic
Status: website unreachable
We have featured RaidLogic several times over the past two years. In early June, messages began to appear that they were unreachable. To this day, there has been no official announcement regarding their closure, but all seems to be offline. There is a rumor that their assets were sold to another company, but not the clients or the brand, which could explain their sudden disappearance. If anybody close to RaidLogic knows more about their closure, feel free to contact us so we may be able to enlighten this a bit more for our users.
BeastVM
Status: shut down
BeastVM officially closed its doors on June 5th. Due to “personal reasons & situations beyond our control” they have decided to close shop. They did refund those who purchased in the last five days leading up to the announcement. Those who still had more than 15 days of service remaining received a partial refund. Despite people getting refunds, the notice was shared on LowEndTalk first on June 8th, which leads me to conclude people weren’t given a whole lot of time to prepare to move out…
This concludes my first ever deadpool post. Please discuss in the comments, but keep it decent!

I feel sorry for Tactical Vps. It was a good Vps Provider.
Yeah,Tactical VPS was great, and the owner Ian also was great,i’m sorry to hear they deadpool.
Is the market too saturated?

No it’s not.
RaidLogic didn’t pay their bills
IntroNet Servers also Deadpooled!
Some of the host come and gone too Quickly.
No Idea about BeastVM.
TacticalVPS looked sold. RaidLogic was one of the company who offers low cost yearly plans, and looked to have a lot of marketing going.
My tactical KVM is up and running, just checked it and all fine
uptime
10:42:20 up 107 days, 22:54, 1 user, load average: 0,03, 0,03, 0,05
panel is up also https://vp.tacticalvps.net:5656
all fine? which location is up?
I’m on node ‘seals’ think it was Jacksonville
I’d say take backups ASAP just in case, being on the “deadpooled” list is bad enough, something is definitely not right.
Why those small providers dont just pass their customers and hardware to other providers if they close? It would save the customers a lot of work.
It seems DedicatedMinds / SturdyVM can finally be added to that list, too.
First the data centre move, then six weeks of continuos downtime with the control panel not working, then the re-branding, no reaction to urgent tickets for over a month, client area disabled, Reece disappearing from LET, and now sturdyvm.com displays the “This Account Has Been Suspended” message…
My DM/SturdyVM VPS is running fine and for the most part has been OK during all this mess. Could be dumb luck, I suppose.
IntroNetServers?? :/
Probably is temporary problems with TacticalVPS, not a fact they discontinued
LowEND.Co is now directing to goodhosting.Co, seems like another new brand of Michael’s.
It’s so nice to see deadpool posts back on lowendbox!
I will not lose my head over loose diction….
Was about to sign up with RaidLogic just last month. Lucky! Shows how important it is to take regular backups just in case. Sleep better at night.
