Hey everyone,
thanks to LEB for posting this offer. Please note that Ideal-Hosting moved from Bamberg to Erlangen about one year ago. Another note:
If you go to http://rootnerds.com from LEB, all our VPS offers will be in the LEB price range. Ensure to also check out our other packages ;)
Let us know in case you have questions, we’re here to help.

the traffic could be less ;)
Thanks for your comment. If you need more traffic, please check out our bigger packages on http://www.rootnerds.com which will also fall under the LEB price-range ;)
Big amount of RAM but BW too small. Also port speed mentioned 100Mbps cost +5EUR and 5EUR setup fee on order page?
By default port speed depends on the node. With the option you can “enforce” a specific node to be chosen.
Is it possible to change port speed after I bought the VPS?
I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
Thanks!
Re-sellers allowed on LEB now?
Resellers of who/what? What do you mean?
I am also wondering what Anthony Smith is talking about?
ip-projects.de resellers.
I asked ip-projects directly about 1 random host i.e. is XXX a reseller of your VPS, they said ‘no’ I asked about Root-Nerds, they said “We cannot discuss our client arrangements”
They are also using the same ipv6 range as the ip-projects offer from 2 years ago and when I asked accelerated about them they had not head of them but said they would pass on the comments to ip-projects.
So yeah, not concrete but you know, 2+2 usually = 4
You keep spreading this wrong information. The control panel is powered by the datacenter (which can easily be seen in the source code). Bad mouthing other providers will not improve your business, that’s now how the internet works. We’re even RIPE member… not even close to reseller, sorry. (https://www.ripe.net/membership/indices/data/de.ideal-hosting.html
Ok so ip-projects.de are not actually the DC so why do you share a panel with them and why do you share the same IPv6 range and why do ip-projects acknowledge you are one of thier customers and why have accelerated never heard of you?
Genuine questions?
Anthony Smith: You deduced they are a reseller from the follow statement by ip-projects? “We cannot discuss our client arrangements”
That doesn’t indicate either way if they are a customer – it simply states they don’t talk about their clients. Glad you don’t investigate anything of worth for your job, as you have already made a class A mistake.
Would be good if RootNerds could clear this up…. once and for all…
If they are paying their bills to ip-projects or Accelerated is strictly none of our (and your) business. And it doesn’t make them a reseller of one or the other (at least not more than any host who pays for colo). If you have to own your DC for not being considered a reseller, 99% of LEB/LET hosts would be “resellers”…
@swank & @dynweb well no that is not all but I accept in isolation that would be silly, I also would suggest that mentioning that one point in isolation is silly.
I also use snelserver.com for example but I don’t share an end user control panel with snel… so erm yeah there is that.
Ideal-Hosting is operating own equipment in Frankfurt, Germany. Please stop spreading wrong accusations over the Internet. I can everyone who is interested to come to Erlangen and we can drive to Frankfurt to visit the datacenter.
Haha that would be really interesting:p I live in Nuremberg and would love to visit you and your servers :p
do you provide ddos or protection
Hi RootN, What is the type of CPU you are using. In your site i could not find the number of cores provided for the 4GB VPS.
The 4GB plan comes with 4 cores. I think they use Xeon E3-1270. This CPU match with the offered Ghz.
Thanks Swen, If you are from RootN or a owner of their VPS you can check the cpu type from the command line. Its cat /proc/cpuinfo
I’m a customer with two VPSes (and very happy, I might add). Different on each of my VPSes:
1) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
2) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4930K CPU @ 3.40GHz
I’ve got two of their 1.99 euro deals. Processor details are:
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 58
model name : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
stepping : 9
cpu MHz : 1696.236
cache size : 8192 KB
Out if the 18 hours I’ve had my Vserver with them, the entire node I’m on (Root15) was down for 5 hours so far and still is down as I’m writing this. Official explaination is network problems, first the server was down for 1 hours after which the problems were fixed, then it is now down for another 4 hours and still is down right now with no updates so far.
Hi, a statement was sent to all clients. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Same here. VPS is offline. Seems like noone is taking care. It’s not a problem if the VPS is offline for an hour but if the host has serious problems, the VPS should simply moved to a another node.
Hi, a statement was sent to all clients. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
(As you wished via ticket, we’ve moved your VPS to another node)
Is 100Mbps connection $5 on top of the price?
I need to install CentOS5 x86 into my VPS, but it has no in the list, Could you please add in to the control panel.
Is there some way to reinstall the operating system? I can’t find that option.
I have the “Virtual Server Control,” is this the right place to look? I am only using the 2 Euro/month plan, which I like a lot.
If I buy now, with a discount price, will I have to pay a higher price once the offer ends?
For example, if I buy an XXL VPS for 5eur/mo, will I need to pay 20eur/mo when the offer is over?
@Daniel A : I am waiting for the answer at that question too. RootNerds ?
5 hours ++ downtime and no ticket reply from support?
node : Root16
Signed up yesterday, paid immediately, still no VPS after more than 24 hours.
(I left it a day before lodging a support ticket, but it’s been a few hours now with no response to that)
So much for the “set up in 1 minute!” claim on the sales page.
Looks like I’ll be disputing the charge on my credit card…
They came through in the end and got me running :)
I have asked them if they can enable the quotas on my vps and they asked me 25$ to do it
I’ve purchased the XL box from them. They set it up in no time.
But here comes the punchline. The 2 core CPU can’t beat a 0,5 core CPU at Host1Plus. UnixScore is around 240 at rootnerds. the benchmark. So think twice before purchasing from them.
Very bad vps servers, are too slow on servers is a huge lag, if you buy vps for game servers. I’ll tell you not to do that because they are very bad
BAD Over Selling Shit!!!!!!!
What if I buy their VPS for simple web tasks?
Port speed is 50mb, so it may be a child of 10 years to take to DDoS and off you vps, rootnerds is very bad for anything ….
Thanks for this share man, it helps me a lot to set up my vps !!
Been waiting 4 days for a reply from support, absolutely terrible customer support.
