$600,000 in Overdue Rent: Read the QuadraNet Eviction Complaints

QuadraNet Fading OutAs we’ve covered previously, QuadraNet is in trouble.

Not only has their LA datacenter been offline, but they sold their IP ranges to HostPapa recently.  Not having IPs means you really can’t sell dedicated servers, which is their primary business.

And now they’re being evicted.  Here are the eviction complaints filed by their landlord:

Both were filed by 530 6th Street, LLC, the landlord.

QuadraNet Offices

Lease #1

The first details a lease begun on July 1, 2004.  On February 6, a 3-day notice to pay rent or quit (vacate the premises) was posted on the door, and those 3 days expired February 9th.

  • $127,134.69 was due as of January 1
  • $192,587.55 was due as of February 1

Total past due rent is $318,722.24.

Lease #2

The second complaint is for a second lease begun January 1, 2010.  Notice was given on the same timeframe.

  • $140,508.43 was due as of January 1
  • $140,149.09 was due as of February 1

Total past due rent is $280,657.52.

The End is Nigh

That puts the total at $599,379, and safe to say with charges since then they’re over the $600,000 mark.

They’d need to sell a lot of cheap dedicated servers to cover that.

I think it’s not unreasonable speculation that the IP addresses they’ve be fire-selling over the last month have been an attempt to stave off eviction.
