Here’s what they had to say:

“AlphaRacks is a premium web hosting provider based in Los Angeles, CA. Thank god they purchased NFPHosting. Hopefully, the quality of services will improve (and their support is probably better too).

I just bought a VPS for $7/year at the right time then, 1GB RAM, awesome! They also said in the mail that they will honour these users and keep their prices so I’m hoping for a $7/mo. renewable service.

Bought a server from here just a couple hours ago, and got all my LAMP stack setup and moved over.

The network speeds are lightning quick. Great value for the money.

    A+ from me, I’m a happy camper.

  5. I want to go out of my way to mention that Alpharacks is incredibly poor quality. I’ve had 4 or 5 VPS’ with them, of multiple kinds and sizes, and all have suffered from frequent outages and incredibly low speed. Their “highest quality” KVM plan has corrupted images listed in the imaging backend.

For instance, I asked to have Ubuntu 18 reinstalled, which was listed on-site, and was told repeatedly that it wasn’t available and my support ticket was deleted. By the way, the reason I was asking them to do it was because my server instance spontaneously shut down, and was completely unresponsive. This was a small server that wasn’t even serving anything publically at the time.

The Debian kernel they had listed on the site had a really fun systemd issue which shut down my sql server every five minutes. I literally came close to divorce because my partner’s website went down day after day, and this was a 7-page WordPress site. It took me months to track down the issue, which was unrelated to me and which the support staff didn’t understand.

The support is poor, and the customer service people seem unable to understand basic ideas, or at least, don’t read their incoming emails. Replies are almost always cookie-cutter, even if you put serious detail into your ticket. Multiple times I’ve had to explain and explain again issues to employees. And again, the speed is bad. Site load no matter what will be slower than the competition. I have multiple sites on SSDNodes and Digital Ocean, and I don’t even think about them in comparison. With AlphaRacks, it has COST me significantly more money than the price of the servers.

Can you show us some proof that your claim supports the claims you posted where you mention people that gave a positive review are employees of the company!? I wonder if you have a screenshot, that shows us that your websites are unreachable (an uptrends report, for example).

There are quite some customers that are very happy with the hosting services and the VPS’s AlphaRacks delivers. After almost 2 years of using a single VPS, I now ordered a VPS Pool which works like a charm (in different locations!). But I wonder if there are some external tests available that shows us the problems you and Sunny experience.

I am your satisfied customer for last 14 months now. Your service is very good. Currently I have a 2048MB VPS plan with you.

I am seriously considering upgrading to a Dedicated server offer from here, as your prices are too hard to resist, and I could use the extra performance as my website and customer base is growing.

May I ask, how long this offer will still be available for?

I first signed up for 4 accounts in 2017. I ran into issues with the IPs being blacklisted. Appealed to support. They were incompetent. It took over a month to resolve the issue, and it was only after I was able to escalate the issue. Because of supports incompetence, I was provided with a small credit.

A few months later, I purchased a new reseller account. It was unusable. I spent about two weeks dealing with the incompetent support to resolve the issue. No go. At that point, I was fed up with AlphaRacks and canceled all my accounts.

Fast forward a few more months into early 2018, I no longer have a way to log into AlphaRacks because I ask them to nix everything. I received charges on my credit card from them. What? I did some digging. They never bothered to cancel the 2co subscription when they canceled the services. I went in and canceled them. Then I email support for a refund. No response. I emailed Josh about it. No response. I emailed Julian about it. No response.

A few months ago, they started advertising on LEB again. I emailed Julian again about getting a refund. No response.

    So, I cannot recommend AlphaRacks.

Further, they recently “bought out” WootHosting. It took me several months and several FTC complaints to get WootHosting to stop sending me emails. What happens when AlphaRacks bought out WootHosting? Hello, spam!

There are no physical addresses on the emails (in violation of CAN-SPAM act) and the unsubscribe link takes me to a login page, but I don’t have an account so I cannot log in and unsubscribe. That’s another violation. So, it looks like I’ll have to engage in reporting AlphaRacks to the FTC for several months now. Fun, oh fun.

Hey Julian! You guys still owe me money. How about you pay up?

I have been hosting with alpharacks for 16 months (and counting), no major issues at all. Overall they are a good provider, they aren’t perfect but they are certainly better than most and they are serious about providing a good hosting service.

For those complaining above just keep in mind they just acquired 2 other hosting company’s as mentioned. There staff are probably dealing with a bunch of questions and logistics with the merge and whatnot. Have a little patience and understanding, all will be ok :)

What are you talking about mate?
I have 4 VPS with them and they’re constantly shutting down and require support.
My tickets queue won’t fit on that page, over 30 tickets in the last year or so – all responses totally incompetent.
I’m just too lazy to migrate but I’m doing it now once I manage to get ahold of enough processing power to actually process the backup of my sites.
A WootHosting shared server just migrated to Alpha as well – all sites down as well.
      Just a terrible company.

I got 4 vps moved over from woothosting after they purchased them and immediately upon the move the two KVM stopped responding and I have not been able to access them for days. I would describe the service as terrible if it wasn’t for the fact that they stopped responding to my inquiries for help and opening tickets on their website is the only available method for contacting them.

For all I know they could have lied to me saying they moved the vps and only given me some random unreachable ip addresses. I went with the cheapest option for VPS expecting somewhat of a sub-stellar quality and service, but this has crossed beyond any reason and we are more into scam territory.

Please, spare your nerves and time and go with a more reputable provider.

My last experience with Alpharacks has left a bad taste in my mouth. I just bought an Easter special VPS. The initial setup details worked for about 12 hours, then suddenly I couldnt connect to the control panel, nor log in with my credentials. OK not the end of the world, these things happen. But the tech guys werent listening and were just saying “but I can ping it fine!”.

Eventually they reissued new control panel credentials, which were in fact the login credentials for some other guy’s account, and I had full access to the management console for all of his 22 VPS instances. One of his VPS’s had the same IP address as mine…?

So I got them to rebuild a new instance and start again. I started uploading files etc. but the VPS was super laggy and a benchmark I ran gave HDD sequential write speed of 6 – 11 MiB/s…

This is really disappointing as I have a number of services with Alpharacks and given what took place this time I am reluctant to use their services again.

The level of incompetence is astounding.
Support knows nothing of infrastructure or how Linux works for the product they are supporting.

The program I run on my VPSs takes 3 days to mature before I see any results. In the last month I’ve seen results only 3 times! What does that tell you?
I am once again down for 6 hours now… with 1 reply that I fixed everything works. Seriously? Did you test it? Nope! Because all of my VPSs are down. <— That's your support.

i am a customer since about 1year, was with woothosting wich has been bough or something by alpharacks and im facing a lot of issues with your servers recently, just look into my tickets of the last weeks, more than 30 because of downtime or extreme slowness!

i know for that cheap price not much is to be expected but atleast an uptime of 1month should be doable.

i have a cloud pool that went fine for months but suddenly was overloaded so i wasted multiple days moving all.

additionaly i have 3 of this “china connected” vps severs, they are down multiple times a week, i have to restart them manually always or your support person move it to another node.

all in all a very bad experience, cannot recommend, i hope josh helps here to improve it now!

Careful with these guys – i have 7 servers with them but with my Windows VPS i’ve had nothing but trouble. Took 2 days to provision the service, then once provision i couldnt connect to it , two days later support resolve the issue , and now the server shuts off 3 times a day – randomly – support is rough – no phone support and when they tell you something is resolved often times it’s not.

It’s a good value but i wouldnt bother hosting windows VPSs with these guys.

Only their home page still works. All is down and many are asking if they are going to shutdown. The only thing that is working is their twitter account where desperate people ask when the service will start again to work

Aaaaand it’s gone. AlphaRacks goes down the tubes without any headsup or any chance for us to backup our data. Should have smelt the BS earlier when they said the downtime is because they had a problem contacting their DC Quadranet rep… for a whole month?

At the time of this writing they have disappeared without a trace for a week, and I hope they atleast give the alleged 100,000 of their other customers a chance to get access to their data on AR, Woot and NFP (later 2 were taken over by AR).

If I ever have ulcers in my colon, I know what to name them, Josh and Team from AlphaRacks. Was painful dealing with them, atleast it is over now. Hope their master-plan of deceit and swindle gets doxxed for the whole world to see, would definitely deter others of a similar mindset.
