Updated July 2011 — Server has been going up and down throughout the month, and is no longer up as of 28 June. Dead pool.
“Legend” (could be his real name), the CEO from AlreadyVPS emailed me to have his VPS hosting company listed here. Their VPS plans start from $2.99/month, and here’s the spec:
- 256MB memory
- 30GB storage
- 200GB/month data transfer
- OpenVZ
/SolusVM
Servers with Limestone Networks in Dallas TX. From their plans it looks like they are just reselling HostRail’s VPS plans. At a little bit lower price though, although those getting VPS from HostRail would be using their own special discount (which by the way, promo code HOSTRAILMAY will give you the same 1 Power Unit from HostRail for just $1.40/month with recurring discount applied).
Domain registered just last week (May 2011) by Legend in Taiwan, who according to Facebook is a final year high school student running a forum called “Forever Bloody”. Seriously, he needs to register the .com version of the domain before opening shop for business.

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
Thank you for your listing.
LEB readers can use the promo code “LEB” to get 20% recurring discount.

AH! hahaha ok.. nice catch!
That’s why it gave me an error before. I thought they were down.
That’s why I said that he needs to register the .com version of their domain.
“alreadyvps.com – This Domain is For Sale
Email questions and/or offers to info@alreadyvps.com.”
It might be too late.
Looks like it was registered yesterday http://who.is/whois/alreadyvps.com
So someone registered it just to get traffic directed to their site, or to get the name.
I have people that do that.
lol of the day 😀
you should archive it leb 😀
They are using SolusVM? HostRails uses HyperVM by the way.
Oops. I am now crossing out SolusVM. Not really sure how I concluded that — they might as well use HyperVM.b
Configurable Options is mirror of Hostrail.

WHMCS [billingcycle] => Free Account
Loveless created page, not very confidence inspiring
Can anyone verify the port speed? Pulling from their test files, I got relatively bad speeds:
Cachefly:
These tests were done on my BuyVM.net box…
Their Switzerland based VPS and Windows VPS produce even worse results. I also tried it from my other VPS hosted with ChunkHost, and my home FIOS connection… Can anyone else replicate the results?

I am also receiving a number of errors when I am browsing their website…The whole situation seems slightly sketchy.
Link doesn’t work or that’s a shortner.
Finally worked after the 11th or so reload. Sorry for the trouble.
Seconded
CloudApp (Cl.LY) looks like they were having server issues the last few hours.
This shows how st*pid the worker of their WHMCS. Owned License but there appear a trial?!?!
No, it shows that it’s nulled and not legit.

AlreadyVPS already dead? This is what’s shown on their website right now — been like that for 4 days. Delete the site “careless”? Yet still trying to get more people to sign up with a promo code.
80% off? Yikes…

They get a plus one from me for owning up to what they did and being honest.
A big -1 though for doing it and not having a backup though.
How about a -100? First they didn’t register the .com domain name, but used it to link to their own site, now they “accidentally” delete their own website? Not a company I’d want hosting my services for sure!
We recovered our site 🙂
Looks like this one is for this months deadpool. Not sure what has gone on but their website is not there anymore.
