LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

BalkanVPS - $5/m KVM 512MB RAM / 10GB HD / 1Gbps Unmetered - Kosovo

If you guys haven’t figured me out yet, I love unique locations. The less common they are, the more I want to introduce you to it. BalkanVPS is a newcomer here, they only signed up on LowEndTalk last month and posted their first offer in these parts on January 01. According to their representative on LowEndTalk they operate their own datacenter and ASN (AS57891). The Offer:

  • 1 CPU Core
  • 10 GB HDD
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 1 Gbit/s Unmetered Port (Shared)
  • KVM Virtualisation
  • $5.00 per month
  • Order here!

I hope it would be better, but currently their panel doesn’t allow reinstallations, VNC and SPICE are not working and OS templates are outdated. But the VPS itself works.

    • Hey!

We are always happy to help you as our customer. If you need a re installation or anything else you can always contact us and we will be very happy to reinstall it for you be it whatever Operating System you desire including any ISO you send us – if it’s possible we will install it for you! As for VNC yes at the moment we have only started out offering VPS servers however our java based VNC access is functioning (you must have Java installed on your computer in order to use it!) We have only the templates our customers want – if you would like a different template there is no problem to contact us and we will do our best to provide you with it! :) Have a nice day and thank you for your feedback!

What is the DMCA policy here? I cant find it.
Do they comply with DMCA takedowns or allow the client to deal with it as he prefers (including ignoring)?

DMCA American laws, not applicable to other countries, exactly if outside European Union, isn’t?

      January 9, 2016 @ 11:00 pm | Reply
      • My guess is that most of the stuff the DMCA would complain about would be illegal to host in Kosovo also. So, I guess it depends on if the host doesn’t mind your illegal content or not, because, no, they wouldn’t be obligated to enforce DMCA crap.

Guess Serbian not follow everything coming from US. Albanian side may follow because they actively helps push Albanians into Kosovo.

      Hello,

The Republic of Kosovo is a partially recognised country. RIPE only accepts countries with full UN-recognistion which Kosovo is not. It is depending on your political view if it is still a part of Serbia however RIPE allocated us with Serbia ips.

      Thank you for your interest!

  11. This is an interesting offer, I’m on the fence about purchasing, I’ve just got a few questions.

    1. You only accept bitcoin, does this mean that the privacy model of your client registration system matches that of your payment model(bitcoin, meaning do you reuire accurate information and is your whmcs maxmind fully enabled and ready to block purchases from “suspicious users”? I ask because I value my privacy.

    2. You advertise unlimited transfer and we all know that doesn’t mean unlimited, obviously, but what would a customer have to do in order to cause you to issue them a warning, turn off their VPS, or suspend their account? One usage scenario that I have in mind for this server is as a “file box” (seedbox/file server), large amounts of data going to users on a daily basis, would that be a problem?

    3. What is your refund policy?

      Hello,

      1. We never disclose information of our clients to third parties.

      2. Unmetered means unmetered. No question about it. The only issue is if a customer abuses cores, then we will terminate you or if abuse our network by sending spam.

      3. We refund anyone who is unhappy.

      Thanks,

      BalkanVPS
