Via this WHT offer. BoxVPS has some limited time offer on their already cheap VPS plans. By prepaying for 12 months with coupon code 50off, you get double memory, triple hard drive space, double bandwidth and half the price. So “small Box” comes down to $36/12 months, and you get:
- 512MB memory
- 6GB storage
- 100GB/month data transfer
Equal share CPU (so no cpulimit throttling). Servers are in Dallas. They have been around for a while now (and frequently featured on LowEndBox) so I guess it’s relatively safe to buy from these guys.

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
So I’m the lucky one who got canceled from 2host…
So I moved on to BoxVPS, but I’m having issues… Although I was finally set-up 36h after a 12 months purchase, I didn’t get the full “upgrade” with the coupon.
Anyone in the same boat?
I got one. You need to pay for 1 year in advance to get the 512ram option. I opened a ticket paid and got 512ram for ~$30 USD for year that’s very cheap. So far so good.

@Budi. This is incorrect If you contact then they will still process this deal.
I signed up and paid on Monday September 14th for a year and still have not received my login information. I sent them an email yesterday to billing@ which automatically opened a ticket but have heard nothing back. I can see the charge on my credit card is very real. If anyone has a point of contact that they know a human reads at this company, I would appreciate having it.
Thanks
support at boxvps.com
Followup on my issue. Boxvps didn’t respond to my ticket that had been auto-created when I emailed billing after 4 days so I emailed support and they replied within 8 hours saying that my VPS had been setup and my login info sent to me the day I signed up. I found that email in my SPAM folder (I’m using Gmail) which was odd because all subsequent communications such as the auto-replies telling me tickets were being opened and the human response came to my inbox.
So, my VPS had been setup, however I was not given the RAM I was entitled to for prepaying for an entire year. I responded to the ticket that I had heard back from them on and they said they would fix this but that was two days ago and it’s still not fixed.
Raise a ticket ask for your RAM allowance. I had to. I then had to pay 1 year in advance ( $36 no big deal for 512 VPS for a year ). After that I was set.
Actually I messed this particular VPS up and needed then to re-image it. There ticket response times so far have been excellent one as low as 5 mins.
I already paid for the year. I’ve opened 4 tickets. Quickest response was something like 8 hours. Two of the tickets have yet to be responded to. I don’t think they like me.
After 4 days with no response or action, I posted again to the two tickets I had open with BoxVPS regarding my RAM. An hour and a half later they upped my RAM to 1G so I got a some extra for my trouble.
