Can you get some more up to date ISOs on there? Your latest Ubuntu version seems to be 11.04 which is already out of support. 12.04 LTS would be nice :-)

The principle here is some of us having to pay VAT, I have no doubt there a very nice host and as one post has stated the bandwidth is very good. Liam I would love to see you on BBC news at ten with Huw Edwards saying 20% is not that much..

I’ve got one of these and for now it’s crazy fast ! Maybe it’s because we aren’t a lot on the server yet so we’ll see how it holds up. Great bandwidth too.

Setup was fast (in the morning for an order during the night), although the debian image needs some cleanup (cups, smb ??).

Didn’t get on that well with them. Had trouble logging into SSH and was told by support to reinstall OS, but still no luck. I wasn’t getting a wrong password error or user name, it just wouldn’t resolve to host. I Don’t think support even replicated my error otherwise it would of been sorted.

Opened a ticket for refund, just have to see how quick that ticket will be answered.

    • Cant comment on your issue without knowing your ticket ID, although if you put a request in a for a refund it will be dealt with today. Cheers

  15. I just wanted to tell you about that these guys are just THE BEST. I have 3 servers with them already and I will order probably 15 more today.

Their support is absolutely AMAZING. Abee thank you so much for all your help I cannot tell you how much that means as other VPS providers just give you templates as answer go read this and that.

I recommend cheapVPS to anyone who wants to get great support, extremely good speed for the package provider. The SSD packages are just incredible. NO even remotely similar service.

Having purchased one of these a while ago, I’ve still yet to have it setup. I don’t think they have 24/7 support as they claim on their website since I’ve opened a ticket and have so far been waiting for them to answer for some time.

    • We are certainly 24/7 technical support although billing only work Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm GMT.

If we renew a 1 month subscription (either another month or to a year), is this still the price we way?

Also, is light seedbox usage allowed? Nothing that saturates the connection or disk and not public trackers.

    July 21, 2013 @ 10:26 pm | Reply
    • Yes, price will always remain the same if you renew. No seedboxes unfortunately.

I paid for a basic VPS a week ago but I’ve been completely unable to connect to the server over ssh. And no response to any emails.

There was no choice of os images – just a centos install, but then I can’t ssh in to even verify this.

The website and support area are very flaky making it rather difficult to submit support tickets, and emails to the published addresses for billing and technical support just go unanswered. I’ve requested a refund so let’s see if I actually get a response.

Anyone considering using cheapVPS should think about whether or not they want a server that works and some sort of support, best just throw the money down the drain as you’ll see the same results!

  20. Hello,

This clearly shows you have not even tried to access solusVM. Also they have live chat on their website during normal business hours UK time. The support area is extremely easy to use. The design is nothing fancy but still it has everything you need in there. There should be probably basic IQ test before you can post the order but still hey it should be possible anyone to buy a server and after that post BS comments here and there.

No images to select from is a complete BS man. They have a bunch of images you can install. Probably the images for OpenVZ and KVM are not identical but still you can have the server set up and running in no time.

This is unmanaged server mand what response do you need. It is pretty clear that you do not need unmanaged server if you cannot even setup the basics.

You will throw you money buying unmanaged server with any company when you cannot manage it but just order the server because it is cheaper. When you do not have the knowledge you pay for managed service which doubles and in certain cases triples the price of the server.

I do not know if you have any other hosting accounts or servers active but god help your host because their are too many people posting BS like that last comment here and most of the unhappy people out there are these that should consider job change if the hosting is their main source of money.

Apologies in advance to the owners of this website for this post but it is just not right to have such comments related to CheapVPS as these guys are freaking amazing.
