Are you able to combine two OVZ512 plans into one for the disk space?

    October 9, 2014 @ 6:19 am | Reply
    • We do have a 1GB special for $30/yr available here: https://my.crissic.net/cart.php?a=add&pid=16 1024mb ram, 150gb space, 3TB bw. Maarten only wanted to list 4 packages though so it’s not on the LEB ad.

We allow merging of packages, but only at the highest tier package (IE you have an OVZ2048 and want to add an OVZ512 to it)

Why 2.5″ HDD for OpenVZ? Is that a typo or space limitation?

    October 10, 2014 @ 5:15 am | Reply
    • Not a typo, it’s the particular units we run. HDD nodes are 6x 7200RPM 2.5″ drives.

This is very good. Just brought the cheapest option OVZ256.
I’m at the other side of the world from Florida, and the network speed is good, typing things in with ssh is fast which is unusual for servers far away from me.
It only took a few seconds to reboot.

  15. Flat Rate of $2 implies on IP Swiping. Does it mean that I have to pay $2 Per IP / Per VPS / Per Customer? I mean, once I paid $2 for swiping, you’ll swip all the IP’s I have with you.

    October 11, 2014 @ 8:02 am | Reply
    • Would be $2 per request of SWIP. So if you buy 10 VPS, open 1 ticket, and ask for SWIP it’s $2. If you buy a VPS, ask for swip, buy a vps, ask for swip it’d be $4

Very tempting. Only drawback for me (compared to others) is no video transcoding….makes it tough to install a personal plex server!

    October 13, 2014 @ 1:09 pm | Reply
    • Rule is a bit more relaxed, personal plex servers are fine in this case as long as you keep CPU low.

They have their own AS (AS62639) which means they can also SWIP IPs for you

You can still SWIP IPs without an AS? :P

    October 14, 2014 @ 8:08 am | Reply
    • Yeah the wording on that :( We have our own ASN with our own network (ish). Atrato is a direct 10gbit commit, with a 10gbit uplink to the datacenter blend. The ASN gives us more control, and as a result we own our IP space (vs a company renting blocks from other providers). Makes us more independent.

Also means if the end of the world comes and we are forced to move our equipment out of GoRack to another facility (won’t happen), it would simply involve downtime, no IP changes.

@SkylarM , what about class of IP address? is it C class or B or A class IP address.

    October 14, 2014 @ 11:25 pm | Reply
    • In regards to? For SWIP (if that’s what we are talking about) doesn’t matter if they are in different blocks at the time of the request.

We have IPs in multiple ranges:
      23.226
      162.218
      162.220
      107.150
      167.160
      104.129
