Crissic Solutions – $7/Month 1GB RAM KVM VPS in Jacksonville, Florida

I was talking with Skylar from Crissic solutions on Skype the other day. He mentioned that Crissic is celebrating their one-year anniversary on April 26th. Let’s all wish him a Happy Anniversary!
Not long ago Crissic re-launched KVM, which runs on the same type of hardware as their OpenVZ nodes and hosted at GoRack in Jacksonville, Florida. Here are three KVM package you will probably find interesting. OpenVZ deals are further down, this time with doubled disk space.

Offer Update! I was notified this weekend that the offers no longer has 2 IPv4, only 1 is included upon delivery. If you need a second IP you have to order it as an addon from now on.

Mikho’s “still being in their first year of business Crissic has accomplished more than many other providers” skype friend praising post is innacurate. Crisis’s aren’t in business one year, they deadpooled twice before that. It’s everything at WHT.
I am not denying that Crisis is doing well this third time and I wish them all good, but do your homework about Skylar and his past and try to be truthful to readers in your praise review. Thousands people read LEB!

Our past is no secret. There’s a reason we are operating under our original name instead of hiding behind lies and deceit. We’ll be in business for 1 year (with what I call Crissic v2) on the 26th of April. Feel free to read through our history, but I would like to advise you to also familiarize yourself with our existing business, and how our existing customers find our services. I’ve learned quite a lot from past mistakes, and am not afraid to admit to such :)

However i have observed, 5-10 min downtime couple of times. I which that could be improved (or Scheduled)

I have used their OpenVZ VPS’s for quite a while now, and they are definitely worth it! Got my entire business running on the VPS’s, and when there is an issue, it is sorted out within minutes of the report.

Well done guys! Although I don’t know much about Skylar’s history, my interactions with him have proved that he has moved past it – and the current services offered are world class.

I will always recommend you guys! Keep doing what you do well – and you’ll be appreciated by everybody.

We are not affiliated with NodeServ. They are another brand in the same datacenter as us and utilize the same upstream that we do. We lease them IP space (which they are transitioning off of), however the affiliation ends there.

To that degree, bulk emailing isn’t allowed regardless of how you swing it. If you intend to send out tons of email regardless of can-spam or what have you, we won’t allow it.

Can you submit a ticket for me please? We have had some IO related issues on a few nodes that we have working solutions in place. Drop a ticket and we’ll get it taken care of.

Ticket has been completed, support were quick and friendly.

My node is not exactly rocking the bench’s still but it’s a lot better then it was ~250MB/s average on DD tests.

Bought that VPS to access some country-restricted US resources (like pandora). Was cheaper than common VPN providers.
Living in Russia, has not noticed any slowdowns/lags. I was able to push ~10 mbps TCP, has not measured vpn performance, thought. Should be close to 10, anyway.
However, disk system seems to be slow.
    I/O speed: 28.4 MB/s (from vpsbench)
simple apt tasks (like apt-get install iperf) can work 1-2 minutes, feels like system have problem reading dpkg database – it takes _long_ time. Well, no deal for me – i’m not using anything I/O intense.
    Overall, i’m happy.

Submit a ticket and we’ll take a look into why the IO is so bad. It shouldn’t be below 100

Just bought the OVZ 2 GB RAM few days ago. And working with my own webserver now. I didn’t benchmark it yet, but so far so good. Not getting any significant problem at all. Will see for further progress.

Anyhow, when i’m uploading to my vps with ftp. for large files it become slower. I wonder if it’s my ISP or from my vps. Still looking for my vsFTP configurations.

However, I love this vps. :)

Due to ARIN entering STAGE4, we’ve opted to drop to 1 IPv4 per order. Addon IPs can still be purchased at $0.50 per additional IP.

I can’t recommend Crissic Solutions, seriously stay away!

I ordered a fresh vServer and installed a basic nginx webserver for a new small website. The next day it was not possible to login, so i created a ticket stating that the server is unavailable and not reachable through ssh. The non-helpful answer without any problem-solving approach: “Your IP appears nulled due to a rather large outbound 900Mbps”. The next day i checked the traffic from the control panel and there was indeed a high amount of leakage, which is weird, because the IP was nulled. It seems the traffic was an internal network problem, finally i ask for cancellation regarding the money-back guarantee. The cancellation request was denied because this will only be possible for new customers. After insisting on the cancellation, the ticket was closed instantly and my account was suspended.

    PS:
Crissic Solutions seems to be a one-man show with neither technical nor business or support professionals.
Furthermore the ticket messages are phrased in a manner way to inappropriate (almost to rude) for serious costumer contact.

I use Crissic Solutions some time. While the test purposes only. I have never found the VPS inaccessible. It seems to me uptime 120 % :)). It is fine work. Now I am quite ready to place here and the basic sites.
Skylar, thank you very much for granting of a double disk on my account. I certainly am not modest… :))
