  15. Minor correction: If you’d like Windows on the SSD1G plan then it’s $8/yr not $2/yr.

$2 is our monthly price for that particular upgrade. Since this is an annual plan, it’s $20 by default discounted to $8 per year with the coupon.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Has anyone else had issues with the way Virmach sets up their account? I ordered 2 KVM VPS (one invoice, same spec’s) and Virmach set up two different KVM accounts. I asked for accounts to be merged and Virmach said it would cost me $3. Anyone face absurd setup or fees like me?

    November 27, 2017 @ 11:15 pm | Reply
    • This is the standard setting for our system. Some packages may chose to merge their accounts during checkout, but not all. If you prefer accounts combined, we can manually merge them for you but there will be a custom request fee of $3 since it’s outside our normal support.

Please note that you can still view/control all you services directly on the billing area with all your active services listed neatly together, and one-click sign in to each respective SolusVM account.

Maybe I should try a UK proxy ;) closed the ticket and refused to process the order.

      • Our VPS is not unmanaged/unsupported. @Unicom if you’re this extremely upset about our service before receiving it and not understanding of the high volume of tickets we’re receiving due to the sale, as well as our need for automated antifraud measures to reduce the cost of delivering orders, I would recommend not completing your order as we may not be a good fit for your needs. I would recommend a fully managed service from a company that assigns you a dedicated account manager. However, I’m not sure if they will be able to provide the same pricing.

          November 28, 2017 @ 6:48 pm | Reply
          • You continuously responded to your own ticket, which bumped you out of queue. We answer tickets in order based on the last response time. If MaxMind marked you as fraud, you cannot make a payment. If you made a payment but was held for a manual review, that’s a different queue.

This VPS is dirt cheap and almost free, I believe VirMach have to cover up the cost for this special promotion. I don’t understand why people got upset when he/she failed to secure a deal that is even cheaper than a few cup of coffee. Fraud detection is an automated layer to prevent from abuse, everything can fail so please be patient especially during the high demand.

VirMach is a well known LowEnd company that is reliable and solid so your money will not go anywhere, your turns will eventually comes up. Imagine hundreds of you are spamming the ticket, then who should VirMach read first?

I am disappointed to all the people out there that just know how to get benefits from others but never understand the consequences. If majority of customers are like you, I believe providers will eventually lose hope to giving out nice things.

        November 29, 2017 @ 8:56 am | Reply
    • The billing address needs to match the location you’re ordering from for certain payment methods. You can provide documentation for a bypass of the system, but a lot of fraud occurs from one country to another so we need to be cautious. I would recommend having someone at the company purchase the service, or purchasing the service for yourself using your billing details and adding the company as a sub-account. Otherwise you can provide the required information to manually process your order if you wish to proceed. Vaibhav is Tier 2 Technical support and not billing/sales support, so he would not be able to assist you fully. He was simply explaining the message given by our system, which is almost always triggered by VPN/proxy usage.

Please do so, I can’t wait to get one in Germany. Also your ticket support wasn’t working so I didn’t order. Can’t we may get now some more deals due this fact in oVZ?

will there actually be the discounted 1gb KVM for Germany available? Or will it be possible to transfer a KVM (lets say Buffalo) that i bought now, later to Frankfurt?
Is Wireguard support possible (needs kernel support at least on the guest kernel).
    Thanks

    • KVM is still available and Germany will be in stock soon.

If you have multiple services, its posible to have only one login with SolusVM?

    November 30, 2017 @ 10:02 am | Reply
    • Yes; we currently permit this for the KVM packages. Click on “Advanced Config (Optional)” and specify a SolusVM username. Continue using the same username every time and they will merge. Otherwise, if you contact us to merge accounts there will be a $3 custom request fee as the default for most packages is separate accounts.

This is cheating! You did not let me buy this VPS on sale for $ 8, just blocking me, and now you grab $ 40 with PayPal when I no longer want to work with you. I previously clearly stated that I do not like your approach. I canceled VPS when ordered it with discount. Why force payment if I have already made it clear that I do not want it ??? Cancel and refund immediately!

They are looking for hackers and cheaters among customers. block customers through one. but they themselves seem to be the ones they are looking for. They stole my money for a service that they themselves refused to sell to me at a discount. Now they took the money in 5 times more, that I once thought to pay.

Is anyone else having problems communicating from VirMach to AWS? I’ve got some stuff in AWS in Sydney, Australia and I can’t get anything through. Not SSH, not wget, not ping, not anything. Is it just me?

    Got two things to share:
    1. the service seems to be really fast, i ordered 1 1GB SSD KVM for the German location and one 2GB SSD KVM for the 10gbps Buffalo location. Both were set up basically instantly (literally within seconds after paying with paypal). The servers seem to be fast too and have nice ping for me from Germany – heck the German one has lower ping than google.
    2. The choice of linux operating systems is extremely dated… Newest Ubuntu is 14.04 LTS, Newest debian is 8.0, Newest CentOS is 7.1503.1. All of them really old, and there appears to be no way of installing your own system (at least i didnt find it in the OS reinstall control panel). I than tried to dist-upgrade to latest ubuntu/debian, but sadly after finishing successfully, neither would boot and i had to reinstall it – which again went almost instantly.
So for now its seems like a decent service, sadly with dated software. If they would fix that it would be really great

  53. VPS migration will cost you with the data at $5 and without data at $3 USD. Kindly reconfirm to us with the location.
As you are on special plan. Specials packages are not eligible for migration or any modification.

The SSD2G (10Gbps) Buffalo, NY deal is still active, albeit you have to choose Chicago, IL and it’s $50/year (reduced from $110) rather than $40 (reduced from $100). Uncertain if it includes the free DDOS protection. Either way still a bargain, and the Server 2016 (Datacenter) instance was set up within minutes automatically.
