Long-time community members will remember the saga of Johnny Nguyen and GreenValueHost.
It was a long saga of a spectacular hosting company flameout. GreenValueHost offered fantastic, unsustainable pricing and was embroiled in numerous DDoS, datacenter dispute, and service disruption moments.
There were suicide threads, high school hacking, and endless FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE press releases. Fake names, ever-shifting Global Executive titles, and provider’s wives threatening people.
And in the end, Nguyen ended up in prison.
In many ways, GVH remains the worst of the industry taken to the ultimate extreme. And now we’re going to interview Johnny Nguyen. Right now, we’re taking questions in an AMA thread, and if you’re interesting in asking something of Johnny or want to make sure an angle is covered, be sure to comment there.
