This is Fusioned.net’s first post on LowEndbox, let’s hope to see many more offers in the future! As well as VPS services, Fusioned specializes in enterprise web hosting, and R1Soft backup solutions. Fusioned utilizes new Supermicro enterprise grade servers packed with Intel Xeon E3-1230v2 CPUs, 32GB ECC RAM and 4 x Samsung 830 SSDs in RAID10 configuration. Fusioned claim that “With this setup we are able to provide maximum I/O performance while maintaining data integrity and redundancy”. It certainly seems true, looking at their Serverbear benchmarks.

They accept payment through PayPal and offer a 7 day money back guarantee. Don’t forget to check their full Terms of Services. It is nice to see that they have a dedicated privacy policy.

Network & General Information

Fusioned host their servers at the Dataplace datacenter in Alblasserdam. Their network, ProServe, is a mix of the following bandwidth providers: Level(3), NTT/Verio, TeliaSonera, KPN and Abovenet.

Dude, you better read between the lines a bit better. George, who is not Dutch, has been professionally arranging our hosting for more than 2 years now. He’s been great, get over it. You may contact me through 3redbags.com. Travel agents for the last 30 years.

5 years hosting experience? Yes thank you!
Superb serverbear benchmarks? Yes thank you!

    • Hi BronzeByte,

Did you have any previous bad experiences with SSD based KVM plans? Would you mind sharing them?
Regarding your consern about the use of a ThemeForest template, I have to say that we had some custom designs made, but when this template appeared at ThemeForest I thought to myself “hey, that’s how I want my website to look like”. So to wrap it up, I can assure you that our services are at least as good as our website design. If you want to try our services, bare in mind that we also offer a 7 day money back guarantee.
      Hope this helps.

PS: Yeap I’m a Greek dude called George, I the sole owner of Fusioned Ltd -a UK registered business- and I host my servers in datacenters in Germany and the Netherlands. What can I say, i’m a citizen of the world :-)

Just got the LEB offer from them. Nice deal! I ran a dd benchmark and got pretty impressive results :D

    root@webserver:~# dd if=/dev/zero of=sb-io-test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.24744 s, 861 MB/s

I’m getting roun 100ms from Atlanta, GA which is OK I guess.

I’m not that comfortable with the lack of 24/7 support though. They say they offer support Mon – Fri 09:00 – 21:00 UTC and only emergencies (i.e. VPS down) during non-working hours. Considering the time difference between the states and Europe this could become a bit problematic.

Having said that, I have to give them credit for activating my VPS in a matter of minutes -no more than 10- after I placed the order (today, Sunday) and when I sent them a ticket for help with CentOS 6 install, George replied immediately (like 5 minutes?) and upgraded my account to 512MB to allow me to finish the installation (before downgrading it back to 256MB obviously).

    • Hey Mike, thanks for your review. I’m happy you’re getting nice results, although mind that dd results shouldn’t absolutelly be considered as a reference for performace.

Regarding your support opening hours concern, well, to be honest we just wanted to be on the safe side here. There are so many providers out there claiming 24/7 support while being a one-man-show, which is practically impossible. Man needs to sleep too, right?
This doesn’t mean that we won’t reply to tickets on a Saturday or Sunday, we just can’t guarantee a fast reply during non-working hours.
We monitor all our VPS nodes in a 1m interval via pingdom and will receive an SMS alert if something goes down and also have alerts setup on our monitoring software in cases of resource over-usage so that we can address such issues as soon as possible.

Super fast set-up, friendly support. Got the LEB offer to test them out. Time will tell, looking good so far.

I’m running the KVM 256 plan since last week and I’m completely satisfied. First of all, the server is very responsive with extremely low pings. The SSDs are awesome, my jaw almost dropped when I run a dd test! Also I think I’m falling in love with KVM. My last plan was an OpenVZ container and costed about the same. The flexibility KVM gives you is just plain awesome. It’s a *real* virtual machine. Forget all those crappy OpenVZ templates and install your own system!

Something else that I noticed and liked is the support. Those guys are superfast. I have seen fast responses from other companies, but George sometimes answer faster than the refresh interval of GMail.

    Keep it up guys :)

Tracerouting to this IP from Iceland procudes awfully many hops compared to Inceptionhosting. Any idea why?

    You: 19 hops
    Inception: 8 hops

    • Hi Emil, could you provide a traceroute to our test IP or a give me a random IP from your ISP so I can have a look at this?

      Thanks!
