GBServers Dan from GBServers emailed me a low end box exclusive offer. You can get the following VPS for £2.50/month (~USD$3.93) by using this ordering link.

  • 128MB memory/128MB swap
  • 15GB storage
  • 250GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
  • 2x IPv4 (1 included, 1 requires justification)
  • Xen/SolusVM

You can pay by PayPal, Google Checkout or credit card, and you should get instant activation. Servers in BlueSquare at Maidenhead UK (test IP: 94.76.194.5). You can check their ToS/AUP here, which includes restriction on proxy servers and “IRC services” including bots. They are a registered business (GBServers Ltd, No. 06291710 on CompaniesHouse) that has been around since mid-2007.

If you are interested in servers from them that have 256MB or more memory, you can also check out their current promotion on WHT with 50% off recurring discount (code 50OFF) although that does not apply to their 128MB Xen.

    • A lot of Datacenters over here are still giving away free IPs with justification

      • Yup, we are getting free ip’s with justification in our facility in Newcastle currently!

    • Flipping through the previous offers hosted with bluesquare, many if not most of them offer 2 IPv4 address.

I wonder if bluesquare is more generous with their ranges than other datacenters.

      • Custodian Datacenter, which is the closest public DC to where I live will literally give you 1000s of IPs for free with justification.

The network certainly supports it. http://bgp.he.net/AS29550

    • At the moment the part of the network we are on hasn’t had IPv6 implemented yet, as soon as it does we will support IPv6.

ipv6 is a crap, why would someone want it?

Appart of the justification of ‘more ips!’ which i found useless considering already implemented alternatives like nat… i found it very bad implemented… its like updating your car engine whit something that uses some radioactive isotope and making it running at same speed.. just increasing the danger…

Great provider, highly recommended. Bluesquare aren’t over generous, put it that way, they are just not as expensive as the greedy US providers.

They are very expensive and overpriced ( Like rapidswitch and webfusion) Its the only reason they can offer cheap/free ip’s

Lol, it’s fine. I *think* BS charge annually for IP’s at an ‘okay’ rate – I could be wrong.
