GetKVM will have been in business for one year on the 27th April. We have personally featured GetKVM a hand full of times since June 2012. GetKVM were last listed in March when they sent in two lower spec offers. Perhaps now that GetKVM also provides OpenVZ services, Ashley should consider renaming. Any suggestions? By using the coupon code, you get both money off and double ram. No reviews were left on their last offer, so it would be great if customers left some on this post!

GetKVM currently only accept payments via PayPal. They offer a 3 day refund policy on all of their VPS products. GetKVM are using a mix of Intel Xeon E3-1230v2 (KVM) and Intel i5 3550 (OpenVZ) servers equipped with 16GB or 32GB Ram and either 2 or 4 1tb drives in raid 1 or 10. Before signing up, do take a look at their Terms of Service and Acceptable Usage Policy.

How many physical nodes do you have in New Jersey?

    • Just the one currently, i think a lot of potential US clients are put off by our UK business hours. It can create quite a delay in correspondence (Sometimes).

I don’t know how to set,is it in the installation process?

        April 18, 2013 @ 2:25 pm | Reply
        • If template based it will be set for you, usually equal to the Ram amount, you can change it yourself though just like on native hardware.

This is true virtualization so the process would be equal to that of installing linux on your home computer.

        • As the other guys have said, you can set your own SWAP (And other partitions for that matter) on the initial install via VNC. Alternatively, you can use our pre-built templates which will have a pre-configured SWAP partition.

Possible to get /112 with your KVM package instead of a single IPv6?

    April 18, 2013 @ 2:35 pm | Reply
    • We can provide as many single IPv6 addresses as you need free of charge, but we do not offer full subnets at this time. Please let me know if you have any further questions :)

      • Bobby:

So you can assign 65+k addresses, but not from same /112?
Joke aside, /116 would do as well, also not doable? :)

        April 18, 2013 @ 4:24 pm | Reply
        • We wouldn’t provide that many no :) As many as you require within reason, i cant see why you would actually need that many but feel free to enlighten me.

I just wouldn’t be happy allocating a full block which is registered in my details :P

Reason is mapping private ipv4s to its own public ipv6. Nothing fishy, but nevermind, found business a few posts down.

I cant let this go. “A full /112 ipv6 block oh no”

Should be enough to stay away from this retard

        • The stay away, there’s no need to be rude. I wouldn’t want your business anyway :/

You don’t have to call people a retard just because you don’t like how they run business, If Ash doesn’t want to assign a subnet, don’t buy it.. you don’t have to tell people to stay away? his service is excellent and I would recommend it.

Your comment was not needed, and your attitude is unacceptable. Get a life.

Ishaq did they pay you to say that? Bobby’s comment provides valuable information on availability of IPv6. Ishaq, your comment is just BS…. You don’t have to recommend it and other people has every right to recommend against it… save your self-righteousness….

Want a reason? The server is in ARIN region, right? What’s the ARIN recommendation for an end site? A /48. Prefixes longer than /64 shouldn’t even be used…
You are using the IPv4 thinking on IPv6…

        April 22, 2013 @ 6:33 pm | Reply
        • When you have your own business you can run it how you see fit. ARIN don’t specify that i have to provide a subnet with a VPS. You sort of answered your own query, “ARIN Recommendation”.

Ash, regarding your LET question about nested virtualization, you might look at uptano.com which will rent you a dedicated by the hour, running some kind of virtualization. I’ve corresponded with their founder and tried out their medium instance which appears to be an L5420.

We charge for installing from ISO as this takes us time, but we have a selection of templates (Not shown on the order form) which can be used automatically, similar to OpenVZ.
