Performance is also good and the network in Barcelona is better than it was at the old DC in Alicante (at least I think it is :) ). I have one of their 512MB VPS’s from a previous LowEndTalk offer.

IPtables issue, newer buy OpenVZ from now!!!!!! Stuck ask uncle all the time. They never care about. OVZ shit

    • Tom Robbins:

OVZ is no real virtualisation in terms of seperation. That is a known fact. IPTables relies on the latter. This not all rules work. This is also common knowledge. Just adjust your IPTables rules (MASQUERADE) and everything works.

Isnt that slow for SSD disks? i thought it should be around 350mb/s

I’ve bought one LEB2 from them, and here is my review:

        – Cart, creation and uptime: VPS was ready in less than 3 minutes. All the cart process didn’t take me longer than 1 minute, including payment and receiving email credentials.

        – ControlPanel: I have Solus Panel and its update to now. I have another VPS hosted by vpsslim and their Solus panel is older than Ginet one.

        – Performance: Here the problems come. I’ve expected to get a DD result of around ~200mb/s since @jmginer pointed beore that a 300-400mb/s was nearly impossible to get due to his infra design. But i’ve been doing some DD test and the highest value that I got was 114mb/s. Its better than my current vppsslim, but I expected a lot of more from a SSD.

        So, I think its 7/10, since I wanted a fast I/O and I even accepted a 200MB/s I/O but I finally got a 100mb/s.

Service is pretty good, but its not what I wanted.

        Greetings, David

DO NOT BUY for VPN purposes, iptables disabled and support reply about – this module not supported ,simply not have idea how to handle iptables, so it impossible setup VPN with them. just waste time and money, setup is not instant.

I was just about to post something saying why all the fuss , the service was 1st class and for the money it is a good package (there is a lot of really bad out there so criticise the FortaTrusts of the world – they deserve it ) .. Now 24hrs after getting access / all configured ready to play GeoAware DNS / Content – I have ICMP to the box no i/o , no access to the solus VPS control and my emails to support@ are queued due to no connectivity 32mins now and counting .. Sorry Giner but you need your support email on separate infastructure to your hosting

sir I am english and also speak fluent spanish , not google translator – I used to build these VPS nodes and I apologise if I use technical language that does not translate to espanol – 1hr 45 minutes outage is not good in any language – saludos

Sorry, but I really thought that you were using a translator because of the confusing sentences you wrote. Thankfully, I do not use a translator because I understand English and also the technical words you were using, but I assure you that the first time I read your todays first comment (#comment-126618) I didn’t understand almost anything.

no problem , everything is back online – I need a reliable good service in spain for some geo-located content – so far apart from this outage eveything is good / excellent ..
esp ~ el problema es palabras específicas técnicas – especialmente cuando acortado – como mi compañero usando “por fa”
you ‘own’ and sort the problems , which is good enough for me – well done Albert & Giner !

Why some companies are always under DDos but others not?

Well he did came to the LEB and started advertising this openvz in vmware solution as DDOS protected, so he definitely got the targeted audience he was looking.

Thought this was a decent startup, guess not.

    Hello:

I need to block some ports in my server. For example, I need to block port 20000 so it can’t be reached from Public IP (Internet), but it can be reached form 127.0.0.1 (localhost). In this way I could access it by a SSH tunnel. This configuration is easy by using iptables, but some comments say that customers can’t use it. Will it be possible to perform this configuration?

    Thanks

    Muchas gracias. Un saludo.

correct unless you can add the rules to the OpenVPS host you are on a non-starter – support queries should be to Ginernet (not here) – open a ticket and enjoy the ride , tarde

after two weeks I am walking away from Ginernet – the problems never get resolved / the answers are always generic without substance – the only reason you ever get is “we have another DDOS attack” or I have disabled your “iptables rules” or denial –
sorry I love Spain for its laid back lifestyle but you cannot extend it to 24×7 server hosting ..
