LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
1995 called. They want their website back.
Seriously, what’s with the huge clunky flashage & the kindergarten logo? Not navigating that for pretty much a meh deal.
Hi, thanks for the comment. Noted. Sorry you didn’t like the design. Since it is what we decided on, probably won’t get changed anytime soon. But we will keep it in back of our minds though… we do understand we can’t satisfy everyone in every aspect. Have a nice day. :)
Alas since EliteDataHosting was sold it has gone rather badly. Now Server-Logix does not even response to tickets. (571347, 732964 … Yes I know is not a supprot forum, but showing ticket numbers proves this is not a random rant
Now Terri is/was a wonderful Sysadmin – Really goes out of the way to help you and make things work. A+++.
But is this another plan to get lots of customers for GoVPSGo and sell it on ?
Hi Brendan, I remember you. You were a royal customer! Thank you for your previous supports!
And thank you for the kind words as well. Just trying to give customer the decent services they deserved! :)
As for the “sell it on” comment… no, it is not my intention with Go-VPS-Go!. It never was with EDH, actually. I let EDH go solely for personal reasons. Honestly, I did the best I can to make the transition as smooth as possible. I don’t believe anyone complained about that. I am sorry to hear about your recent experiences with EDH. I know about their recent trouble and I believe the issue is completely resolved. What happened (EDH) can happen to any VPS provider. I wish the best to Server-Logix.
Cheers and I hope you have a wonderful day!
we need more LOW specs with that price l.e.a :p
haha
Noted! :)
We are currently evaluating a different VPS product line that will include more resources – primary cater toward LEB folks. Nothing is really concrete at the moment yet. :)
If it materializes… LEB will be the first to know.
the web design is really ugly and weird,
good luck to you
The design is very annoying. The Flash banner is excessively large, and Flash to boot. Good luck however
Ugly boxy gone. :) Thank you all for your comments and wishes.
