Paulius from Host1Plus.com sent an offer that at first sight wasn’t that special, then I checked the location and it looked interesting from there on. I don’t think we ever had an offer for services in Brazil before? Both Germany and Brazil will have 1 TB in bandwidth each month but port is limited to 15Mbps.

Host1Plus has been around for some years but never been featured on LowendBox before. HOST1PLUS.com is a division of D. E. Technologies Ltd., registered In England & Wales. HOST1PLUS has three offices, London (UK), Kaunas (Lithuania) and Frankfurt am Maine (Germany).
HOST1PLUS accepts payments via Debit/Credit card, PayPal, AliPay, WebMoney, CashU, Paysera. They have a refund policy which states that if you buy their service with a discount code you can’t request a refund. Guess this offer falls into that category so consider this a heads up.

Aha, isn’t that company who offers free VPS’s? And the good old OVZ again, sigh.
Yeh, they did offer free vps. I managed to pick one up.. one word, Horrific. But they probably put them free vps’s on some really bad hardware. but who knows.
I have one free VPS with them too. I don’t know about the server specs – I/O is horrible, but hey.. they have a good uptime and nice latency. http://pastebin.com/6yQYJpCp
As an ex-staffer in H1F I’d like to say, that H1F and H1P are barely connected. They’re hosted in same facility, and some staff is hired by H1P. That’s basically all. Each division have each own nodes, and H1F’s are oversold like hell. Never tested their paid product (Why the hell shall I give them my real phone number, but I’d like to say that H1P support is more or less adequate(Contacted them via livechat once because their NSes allowed AXFR for everyone, and, well, the person who answered me in livechat was level 3 support engineer).
yes, host1free and yes again.. it’s OpenVZ and YES !!! it’s in Brazil…
come on…
they are good now, i m using 256MB
never down
Hah..they verify phone number with call and only credit cards accepted via PayPal. :)
oh no, i dont trust these guys
if you dont care about your data, your website codes etc..then this is for you..they have some filter programs maybe wireshark to even sniff what youre doing..
I believe the IPs are actually routed from the US?
(That’s what I heard a while ago, cannot quote though.)
Do you mean geo-located in America?
Interesting offer is all I can say.
These guys are terrible, support very unhelpful, they did not understand everything related payments via CC with PP, damn..
They have a local branch in my city, their support gets paid 3$/h, what do you expect?
My personal suggestion is to avoid them totally, don’t come crying in this post if you receive their “typical services” for their prices.
Fight for the right, don’t hands down, and everything be fine :)
You should always assume any VPS outside of the major internet exchanges is oversold horrifically due to the costliness of hardware and bandwidth outside of exchanges.
User promo code like: 0X7MY6JEF1 (40%) or H1PDED20 (20%), or H1PVPS10 (10%).
Im on: VPS Hosting (OpenVZ) – VPS Hosting Level 1 -> 1.20 USD / month.
They had this hosting for free half year ago , but you know …
discount is one time only not Recurring
I/O is horrible
I/O on the Brazil Host1Plus nodes is acceptable and there hasn’t been any downtime or reboots in the month I’ve been using their Brazil location

“I believe the IPs are actually routed from the US?”
“Do you mean geo-located in America?”
No to both. The servers are in Brazil but the geo-location shows Chile because they’re using Host1Plus’s Chilean AS61440 IPs

“port is limited to 15Mbps.”
For reference, other Brazilian providers are charging $25-$70 for 3Mbps-8Mps ports so that is a good port speed for Brazil :)
Ok. I just took one and hoped it wasn’t a waste of money.
I can confirm the results of DomainBop.
I needed TUN/TAP enabled for ipv6 tunneling and the support replied within 8hours (ticket priority=low), what is good for me.
Also its the new openvz with swap. On the level 1 in Brazil, I received 512MB SWAP.
You do need to give them a valid phone number. A German speaking computer voice calls you and you will receive a 4 digit code to enter on there website.
Well I don’t see how this is actually bad, seems like a good result for the money, I’ll just hope maybe they even improved their support and got ridden of unqualified people who are not even able to consult on lvl 1 hosting issues.
Also, you can find promo code and it would be much cheaper.
BHWVPS10 promo 10% discount for VPS.
Have VPS plan level 3 (2cores, 1GB ram) on Germany location, with coupon code 20ALL
i pay only 59 bucks for one year. So for me is really cool deal.
Guys dont fall for these, they are operating very weird. The initial VPS Hosting page says 1000Mbps connection, theres nowheere a mention about 15Mbps connection untill you actually buy the product for ex. “Level 2”, i ordered the service for 3 months and ive been using it merely 10 days, i had a lot of packet loss and the connection speed would drop very often to 4Mbps down / 2 Mbps up.
I requested then to cancel the service and refund, but they are ignorant and dont listen anything, i was forced to dispute the transaction via PayPal, the case is still open but these guys have suspended my VPS. I have no access at all and they still didnt refund my money. Never had such a case the provider being so ignorant. STAY AWAY FROM THEM You will not regret!
Mark, here on lowendbox it shows: 15 Mbps Port Speed, for level 2 plan.
James, i came to this review after my purchase, and they dont mention the speeds on their website anywhere, but instead the list 1000Mbps which they have removed because i made a picture of it and provided it to the PayPal case.
It is not good to create stories made from lies.
Seriously, what do you get for doing that?
Found few promo codes for VPS and cloud.
H1PVPS10 – VPS -10% max 6 month
H1PCLOUD40 – Cloud -40% max 6 month.
will try for cloud
James are you actually from HOST1PLUS or what? Why do you advertise them and give coupons, they are fradulent and amateurs, now they even disabled the tickets for my account, very clever, but hey they operate from Lithuania and i am too from Europe, and you know Europe members have laws like this one for example:
http://ec.europa.eu/justice/consumer-marketing/rights-contracts/distance/index_en.htm
Are you a detractor?
Honestly, I don’t know where you are coming from but giving false reviews doesn’t and will not ever do you any good.
Is important to know before make a purchase:
I received this message from HOST1PLUS few days later after my purchase:
We would like to inform users who own our VPS Hosting plans and are using any of the TUN/TAP, PPP or NAT modules that this functionality will count as an additional service from the 20th of February, 2014. It will cost:
• TUN/TAP ($1/month)
• PPP ($1/month)
• NAT ($1/month)
Due to a large number of requests and extra load on our services we would like to ensure that the services stay stable and performing well for you and so this decision has been made.
This is important notice regarding your VPS service. It affects your service directly so please read it carefully.

Currently for users who are using it, your next invoice will include a recalculated price with the additional service included. For this billing cycle this functionality will stay free. You also can control these add-ons through your Client Area, under your VPS Hosting configuration with the Upgrade/Downgrade options button.
Yours sincerely,
Host1Plus
Not surprised..
I take my words back about saying that they have possibly improved, guess they didn’t learn a thing after all.
Too bad, I was considering getting one for private VPN to get a German IP address. This is in fact a 50% increase in price :(
Why 50%? its 100% at least, all 3 needed for VPN. They told about take many orders and almost all use their VPS for VPN purposes, and now sounds just like sorry guys, was 2 now 5..
What do you expect from a company who gives you a free VPS and suspend you 2 days later on abuse before you log into the VPS?
The company is scam, end of story.
Define the word scam.
As far as I know, we do not suspend anyone unless they break the Terms of Service.
Some VPS owners are actually months old and I don’t see the logic in your comment as to why you would call this company as scam.
For as much as possible, Please make sure that you post information that are valid and with evidence.
why ip 181.41.197.5 located in chile not brazil?
Can I setup vpn>will pay extra fee?
Yes, but beware about iptables. For VPN it will cost 5$ for now instead 2$ (basic offer)
This is another provider that charging fee for Tun/Tap/PPP/NAT.
• TUN/TAP ($1/month)
• PPP ($1/month)
• NAT ($1/month)
Cool! I just test it and its better then all my VPS works faster then my 100mb Internet on my other VPS
0 timeout respond in less then 1 sec :) works like a dream for 8$ 1 GB Ram :)
idk why so bad comments…
Some of the people who gave bad comments haven’t actually tried out the paid product.
They are comparing the Host1Free Brazil VPS instead of the Host1Plus Brazil VPS.
Seriously, these two nodes are different.
Don’t touch this with a barge pole guys – performance for me has been terrible, and today I found my VPS had been powered off. Well.. I guess that’ll teach me for expecting service for $2 :)
I don’t know why enable PPP and TAP/TUN charges extra money?it just a module!
“Due to a large number of requests and extra load on our services we would like to ensure that the services stay stable and performing well for you and so this decision has been made.”
I think it just a joke.
Now they in South Africa with 1Tb BW, just amazing :)
I’m using the service for 2 weeks now and I’m very happy with it so far.
There aren’t any other providers in Brazil for this price, and the latency is great.
